World Refineries Too Obscure/dangerous

okay, so to put it simply, the refineries are wayyyy too bothersome to both find and use without being attacked. I had to spend 20 minutes to find the ore refinery in Nesaak, and when I DID find it, it was in a tiny stone hut and it was very vulnerable to mob attacks. Meanwhile, Nesaak has three fishing refineries! As for the regular part of Troms Jungle I simply cannot find an ore refinery at all, and the Desert's refineries were very few and far between. Plus, each "major area" of the map doesn't always even have every type of refinery in them, even though they have every type of resource!

If a system like professions which is very grindy and has a "inventory limit" system in the form of unrefined mat. weight, you'd think the mapmakers would make refineries semi-convenient to get to from major mining spots and towns. I refuse to go to detlas/camp a class in detlas just to locate a convenient refinery spot, and not being able to easily refine materials while I'm out adventuring so i can gather in bulk to bring back to my bank. The complaints I've seen have been countless, and I'm surprised there has been no active thread about this.

I understand why refineries aren't inside cities because the animations and player usage would add even more of a delibilating lag factor, but goodness I shouldnt have to spend tens of minutes of time looking for a very small shack of a refinery, that i constantly have to walk out of to kill hostile mobs to use.

 

Hostile mobs ignore you when you're using a refinery, so they should be safe to use unless you're just AFKing next to them. As for placement, you already answered your question yourself with the lag factor. While they're usually in pretty obvious places such as next to roads, I do agree that something could still be done about it, such as adding more road signs that lead you to them.

 

When there isn't a SINGLE ore refinery in the ENTIRE jungle/dernal jungle area, (or at least not that's in any readily accessible or visible location) that's a massive problem. We dont need road signs, we need refineries, more of them, and not so unnecesarily obscure.

 

I agree, some of the refineries are set in odd places, as in we need more in certain parts of the map. Especially with the Desert, given pretty much all of the quests for level 30 happen in the desert, it's a painful spot to be stuck in Almuj, not able to refine.

 

I don't recall myself mentioning anything about the amount of refineries? I was only commenting on their placement and safety, and not tacking onto their amounts since I kinda agree with it

 

Pls where is this Nesaak ore refinery? I haven't been able to find one.

I just hope you can see refineries on the online map once they updated it. No need road signs, no need to add more, I just need to be able to locate the nearest one from me.

 

They haven't updated the map yet.

 

there's an ore refinery near the village right in front of the great bridge (jungle side of course) where you start grand youth (basically go out of the great bridge from nesaak and walk forward)
