Wouldn’t the prices for mythic/powders raise because loot runs has been nerfed?

 

Yes would make sense by pure logic. But since people are getting majorly scammed it's not rly happening :/

 

2E warchief is absolutely bullbull no matter how ya slice it. Also try and justify a 69 million emerald thrundacrack. also people selling a divzer post-buff for 6 stax and being resold for 14 witn no effort or negotiation? Also powder prices shouldn't be dropping, cuz by every logic of video game design they should increase, and i have yet to see someone argue otherwise, but by all means I would welcome to see some theory about that. Cuz right now i see no logic to it; I see some jokersters wanting to save money and/or abusing dupe glitches; there are very likely many. Unfortunately because the names of players aren't shown in the market item listings, it's nearly impossible to prosecute scammers cuz their identity is hidden, so people who are *actually* selling mythics low to the point of scamming can't get caught.

@ParkourTNT Mythics it depends, cuz some got nerfed and some overshadowed by the rebalancing some many items/introductions of crafted items. Powders however, should be going up in price. Many price changes over the years have been logical and credible, but the marketplace is wildly imbalance the scales.

Also yes I Do Intend on gathering screenshots of ridiclous marketplace pricing and resell-abusing examples to substantiate these issues.

 

I feel like the low prices is really up to the players (regarding the powders). It is a legitimate strategy to flood a market with a large quantity of cheap items to gain a smaller but still significant profit off of a product compared to higher prices for the same product. I can empathize with your frustration but I think it would just be easier to let occurrences such as 'market floods' pass, and let the economy work itself out. If you really care enough to fix this flood, then you could buy all the really cheap powders and then resell them for normal prices, which could be profitable for yourself. I think that's a pretty direct way of solving it, and it's definitely an investment with risks, but it might work! I agree though that the prices should be set in E/EB/LE format. I have nothing to say about mythics because I don't know anything about them :)

 

I've been observing the powder prices over the course of today and haven't seen anything different than the usual 8/32/2 LE.

Why does it bother you so much that someone put up a Thrunda for 61 million? How is that at all important? (do you think someone could possibly get that rich without being at least somewhat aware of typical prices?)

 

Fair point about the thrunda, its just annoying lol.

Also right now im looking at stackk of 20+ tier 6 powders going for 34EB right now, so i dunno what time you looked or not today. And @nuthatch209 I'd rather not profit off the same flood trend that is artificially lowering the price of stuff that should be higher, then i wouldnt be practicing what I preach. Also I'm staying away form buying powders at all from the marketplace until the glitch is fixed.

 

Profiting off of the lower prices is exactly the way to fix those prices though... that's how economics works.

 

I guess I'm just really stubborn about the way I benefit from systems I claim to hate being done. i might just put some of my own powders up at the "right price." Even if you do have a good point, my point still stands about me not wanting to buy the low-price powders that stood a fair chance of not being obtained legitimately. I'd rather buy from a certified dealer on the forums (cuz names of players dont show in marketplace) so i know I'm not buying cheated powders.

 

Bumping because a recent market disaster showed just how DESPERATELY Marketplace reform is needed! PRetty sure almost everyone here who deals with mythics heard about that crazy scammer yesterday who cheated hundreds of LE stacks and got banned with dozens of perfectly usable mythics in their possession? We need to restore negotiative measures for selling Mythics legeally, at reasonable prices, and without abuses or marketplace bugs that can cause crisis like this and the powder crisis. I hoenstly think that removing mythics from the marketplace, or setting a cap to how many mythics a player can put up at once. Limits on min/max price definitely, and fixing interface bugs right away. This can't keep happening.

 

the market can actualy prevent this, thoes unexperienced players can look at mythics already on the market and just copy the average price
I do know what people accidentally skip a 0 or two when they set the price
