Add Voices To Quests

it would be a great way to keep up with the lore and make it much more interesting. Various maps already do this.
what i've seen is a lot of people completely spam right click on quests and never read anything, usually because its too long and no one is bothered reading it.

So how about adding voices to characters, that will speak every word in the dialogue. Very simple addition, it can also be toggle able as well. For those who dont want it

It would be best do it one by one, instead of replacing all the audio files in the game at once

 

This has been suggested before. It’s a good suggestion but it’s impractical. You’re going to have to replace and add all the audio files in the game.

This sounds like a great idea! However, I’m worried about wether its actually possible to do. There is quite a lot of dialogue in Wynn, who would voiceover it?

^that. I'm no coder or anything like that, but you would probably have to move around and/or replace already existing files for the new ones. It would probably take a while and I feel it's not really needed when there are better things to focus on (such as the upcoming 1.18 update).

One more thing I forgot, it would massively increase the RP size. Like, it would be several gigabytes if we do this.

As in, loading the texture pack will take 15 minutes.

 

you still need to have it around in the rp if you want to be able to toggle it, and you’ll still be affected.

Ok so just go on curse and type "QuestVO" then you will have a mod wich adds some voices to the quests, but this mod isn't up to date and isn't updated since ages, because add voices is a too big work.

And anyway, for the persons like me for who english isn't the main language it's not interresting

Yeah, audio is kinda heavy in a resourcepack so it will fastly be more than 50 mo

In fact, it's pretty easy to do, but for a server as big as Wynncraft it will take too munch time and anyway the RP size will be over 50mo
