    Universal Movement Capabilities
    What is it?
    This is a concept where every class in the game has their second spell, which is typically dedicated to movement, removed for either an offensive spell or utility spell.

    However, because of this every class has universal movement options at their disposable such as


    Grounded/Aerial dash: Dashes forward in the direction the player is facing 5 blocks forward using 3 sprint bars(?) Momentum is conserved and spells can be activated in the duration of the dash. Depending on whether the dash is activated the ground or the air will produce different particle effects behind the player. (Dirt particles for grounded dash; Smoke particles for aerial dash) Dashes will also have a cooldown of 2 seconds and fall damage will still be calculated when doing an aerial dash

    Super Jump: Holding crouch grounded for at least 1.5 seconds following by the release of the designated key will allow a vertical leap of 5 blocks. All spells are disabled while ascending when using a super jump, and using directional inputs will allow movement during ascension

    Pros
    -Allows for streamlined puzzles/parkour that is accessible and could not be exploited by certain classes
    -Gives more options for classes in terms of spells without having to be restricted to require a movement spell
    -Gives an additional combat option in terms of strafing mobs

    Cons
    -Loses class traits that are generally beloved
    -Also have to change bob's tomb reeeeeeeee

    This is an interesting idea.
    However, I’m worried this might remove some defining characteristics of the classes - Teleport, Leap, Escape, Vanish - in favour of what seems to be a fairly pointless and annoying feature. Going 5 extra blocks for 3 sprint bars is hardly worth it when you can just sprint for longer instead.

    And what should the spells be replaced with? It would be hard to find four new non-movement related spells to add.

    It’s a nice idea, but I think it might have a higher cost than its benefit provides.

    No thanks. I feel that the movement spells make the classes more unique, and by getting rid of them you get rid of some really fun things to do. I mean who doesn't want to fly around with teleport and really high mana regen?

    Yeah the 5 blocks was mainly a placeholder value, and should be better at a higher distance. I didn't want to make the spells since I just wanted to get the idea of an alternate movement option first since the concept to me seems really interesting and could have cool applications.

    This is an interesting idea, and as of right now I'd have to vote "Neutral/Undecided"

    I feel like having a fourth attack spell and defined movement abilities would make fighting a lot better and smoother, but at the same time the existing movement spells are so beloved and useful. They're all things that we take for granted in game and it would just feel weird without, say, Archer's Speed III or Assassin's vanish. And while this would allow for more interesting parkour possibilities, I feel like parkour isn't a massive part of the game.

    I think this is an interesting idea, but I am way too attached to my speed III to consider giving that up. It would force me to actually have to do parkour too instead of just flying past it with escape.

    I would have to agree with WithTheFish on this one, it seems interesting but im certain it would require heavy balancing and work, along with the appropriate changes regarding spells. Perhaps maybe make each class have a sort of "passive" movement ability and replace the 2nd spell with a more combat oriented spell?

    Ex. Assassins could quickly strafe in one direction by double tapping either S or D, mages perhaps get a modified teleport that can be used by crouch jumping or something similar, warriors maybe get something like where they stick their spear into the ground and do a sort of catapult jump where they double tap the spacebar, archers can maybe hold shift + space and fire an arrow into a wall to even use a sort of grappling arrow even? Just throwing ideas out there.

    Either way, if it was implemented properly I would love to see it, but for now it is hard to say explicitly yes or no on this one.

    Ye that's a great idea, and from what I've asked people and what has been replied on the thread that the movement spells are pretty beloved (though I think it is a fairly bad reason) some of the aspects such as archer's speed III or assassin's vanish could be incorporated into either their passives or already integrated spells.

    I feel like parkour could be a bigger part of the game with these new movement abilities due to make things fair for each class, most parkour is restricted to only various vanilla jumps. With such dash features/super jump could allow for more creative environments where the player has to time a dash or jump into a hole/vent in the wall and then dash on the other side to clear a gap. Utilizing and sequencing movement like that is what I love in games and wynn could benefit from that than keeping everything "fair".

    From the response I've been given on and off the thread, the idea needs a bit of work. I still really like the concept but I'll need to rework the idea to keep the class' identity and other further detail. Thanks for the feedback, I underestimated how much you guys like the movement spells xd
