So you know how the moon cycles through different phases, right? Well you're going to need to if you want to understand this post.

    https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Moon This should help

So I assume Wynncraft uses moon phases, I don't see why they wouldn't. I say that different things should happen on different moons. So, for example, on a full moon the monster spawn rate could be increased by something like 1.3 times the normal rate, and on a new moon it could decrease by the same amount. Or maybe rare mobs, that could only be found durring these times, could spawn (but probably not, as that would make it more grindy). These are just examples though, I would just like to see something to do with moon phases.

    Why?

I think it could just be a little cool detail

Decent idea, but it seems like it would be kind of annoying to implement (maybe not I'm no coder or anything). Also, would it just be specific spots or would it be across the entire world? For example, it would make more sense if things like zombies in Wynn would be affected by something like a full moon, whereas robots in Corkus wouldn't.

Would be nice to have something like swarms again... "Bloodmoon" yeye whatever...

I kinda support this. It should be a rare event though.

    There is a little problem...

I am not a coder or anything but I don't think that there is a status for it...

I have really got no idea about coding but I am pretty sure it is not really possible...

I think you can still do something like this but not using moon phases.

I beleive this would be possible as the cycle is not random, so instead of linking it to the Moon phase itself they could just set it so it occurred at the same time

I'm pretty sure you actually could link this to the moon phases considering in vanilla mc slimes are most likely to spawn on full moon and don't spawn on new moon

This would be very possible except the rate of mobs spawning wouldn’t necessarily correlate with each moon phase, rather it would be a timer. Each Minecraft day lasts 20 minutes, 10 for daytime, 7 for night, and 1.5 for dawn and dusk. If you were to increase the rate of mobs spawning every 20 minutes starting at night, but then slow it down during the day and then reset the entire loop at the initial phase, this would work.

In simpler terms, night time = bring a friend day for mobs, the next day = bring 2 friends day for mobs, etc., but after the end of the week = forget a friend day for mobs!

I know about a mod that makes something happen when the moon is full, so maybe is possible (?)
But for the other part, I don't really think zombies have something to do with the moon...
A more logic thing would be associate a mob (which no one knows, or maybe doesn't even exist) that has something to do with the moon.
If it doesn't exist, a pretty good idea would be to add werewolfs when the moon is full.
Every night in minecraft is 7 minutes long, there are 8 moon phases, so every 56 minutes we're gonna have a full moon, and werewolves will appear in that period of night, so they would be "rare" if you wait them in a server, or you can always change. (Also you have to consider the time of the server to restart, which I don't really know)
So werewolves could be in high amount since you have to wait hypothetically 56 minutes.
Their strenght and defense should just make problems to players of their level or below, since they're in high amount.

Edit: I just realized that there is the day time too, ty @Athenz lol.
So for werewolfs you should wait more than 56 minutes.

That was one of the other mobs I thought of in association with a full moon (and yes there's Werewolves in the Kander Forest in Gavel).

I wouldn't really call them Werewolves since they spawn during the day too (Or maybe not, I don't really remember, but if they'd spawn at full moon, this post wouldn't have much logic).

Ye they're just named werewolves. I was just addressing the fact that they do indeed already exist in Wynn.
