I really like the idea of Brainwash and have been trying to make a zero-intel spell-based build for awhile now, and just have a suggestion.

As a person who generally does not like to be easily squished (looking at -220 water here), I try to have at least meh ok elemental defenses. There doesn't seem to be any gear to counteract water defense that doesn't have an intel req (besides wooly long johns and a few rings like bubbline) which means there is no way to get around the huge weakness from the helmet unless you want to spend 75+ nearly useless intel points to balance defenses.

Maybe the whole point is that you can't have good defenses while using brainwash, but from what I can tell its just not used much at the moment. If the water defense was changed I think it'd be much more competitive (hopefully not OP?)

That, or powder slots (trying to counter water defense with powders (???))

    idk just my two cents

EDIT: I'm just blind, there are equipment pieces that have water def

But there's still only ~1 choice for each one, but tbh what would help more than reducing the -water would be making more armor pieces that give defenses for elements that they don't have explicit reqs for

But why??? Why would you want zero intel for a spell based build??? Your mana costs are going to be off the charts, so even if you can get mad spell damage, it's still going to suck.

just get over-mana. brainwash already gives 10 mana in total, if you wanna be a gamer and use tesla that'll bring in another 4ms
if the price is high, just get more money

There are somethings I'll never understand... Then again, anybody got any pure (birch wand) builds?
