I watched ONE Monster Hunter World video.... here we are!

    Backstory
When traveling the lands of the Tri-Provinces, there are many monsters that adventurers encounter along their journey. While these monsters can be a threat, once you reach a certain level of experience with them (or gain a certain quality of gear), they become a mundane annoyance rather than a dangerous obstacle. Throughout history, mankind has told tales of legendary beasts that roam the lands, killing any who are unfortunate enough to wander into their territory...

    The Concept
My idea (to put it simply) is to add more variation to the world through the addition of monsters that are uncommon, yet very powerful even for experienced players. This could also potentially add a new incentive to hunting these monsters as they could potentially drop useful items.

    Implementation

    - Different areas of the map would have different "boss" monster spawns.
    - These mobs will have a very low spawn rate (not EXTREMELY rare like Mama Zomble, however significantly rarer than other rare monsters such as Nii guardians).
    - Each different type of monster will be VERY powerful, powerful enough that even players much higher than the intended level of the area are still susceptible to them, and that players that ARE the intended level would need a group to take one down.
    - Upon defeat of these beasts the player will rewarded with a large amount of XP as well as a drop, each one will have a different drop (such as a fang, pelt, claw, etc)

    Uses of Drops
Why would any sane player voluntarily fight an extremely powerful monster for no reward? Most players would (upon encountering one of these mobs) simply avoid it unless there was some sort of incentive to kill it. Some players may even go so far as to SEARCH for these beasts and hunt them due to the rewards...

Drops of these mobs could be sold to a special merchant: "Trapper Merchant"
Each of these merchants would buy the item dropped by the boss monster corresponding to the location. (Dark forest merchant buys drops from boss of dark forest)

List of POTENTIAL Rewards for Selling These
    - Powerful Armor/Weapons (like the Antic Beads can buy masks)
    - Monster Heads (wearable, for respect purposes as well, could also give stat boosts related to the monster; ex. taking down a very fast monster could give you a mask that grants you EXTREMELY high walk speed)
    - Accessories (for respect purposes, like legendary medallion)
    - Legendary Island entree tickets (defeating a powerful monster attracts the attention of the owners of the challenge)
    - Individual XP Boosters
    - Temporary Stat Boosts
    - Im open to others if you have any ideas...

    Extra
These boss monsters could also add a new aspect of lore to the game, NPCs could tell stories of the legendary beasts that lurk within the shadows. And players could collaborate to bring down these mobs

    Pros:
    - Brings challenge to the game
    - Makes traveling with a group more desirable
    - Makes areas dangerous, even if you're max level
    - Hunting is a cooperative activity

    Cons:
    - Could be a danger to players of lower levels (although it is meant to be dangerous)
    - Not super huge but a cool feature nonetheless for players to spend some time on

The only problem I see with this is the chance of inexperienced players running into this and being almost forced to fight it, but I like everything else. +.9 support from me.

Yeah that was the thing I thought of. But then again it is meant to add danger to traveling alone and can also be avoided by going around it if the player is careful.

Maybe they could stay neutral and when the neutral form is killed the real challenge appears. This also fixes key guardians.

Maybe as their neutral form they could be disguised as “Rustling Bush” or something . Which when hit will reveal the true monster. Still dangerous for unknowing newer players but not overly OP

These monsters are not random spawns (other than the key guardians I guess but they’re easy). They also don’t do much

Simply not having them in super low-leveled areas should solve problems with newer players running into them. Note, for example, that problems with key guardians are mostly only for the first 30-35 levels. By Ice Barrows, most newer players seem to have pretty much figured them out.
