Old Wynn Lobby

If anything salted needs to add a wynn lobby with all the old stuff such as no dungeon keys vip town no gavel no texture and all the old stuff like powders and the game was so much better before with no elemental dmg and all the cool stuff it had to offer

 

That's your opinion but I think most people prefer the new stuff, but feel free to make a suggestion

 

1. You are objectively wrong about old wynn being better
2. Having servers with all the old stuff has been suggested before and got the same response each time; Not only would it be virtually impossible to do, but it would be a waste of time because not many people would play on it

 

I'd say "that's a big no from me", but at this point I think that's a big no from everyone

 

This idea has been brought up multiple times before, with ideas such as legacy servers and stuff. While there are definitely some people who prefer the old game, is it really worth having a server just for them? Would they get bored eventually? I feel like a lot of the magic from the old days comes from experiences with other people and quests and stuff, rather than its features. Besides, what version would they even use? Wynncraft has had so many updates over the years, and for now we should just stick to the most complete current version.

 

i agree the new wynn is way too complicated
it was way better when there was only 1 set of endgame armor and assassin was the supreme class

 

But the game was literally just grinding with a few fetch quests sprinkled in each level range. They weren’t even any cutscenes or decent puzzles in quests either.

puzzls are too complicated grinding is more fun and fetch quests were good because they were simple

I don’t know what you mean by they’re too complicated. Besides ??? (Which isn’t meant to be a fair quest anyway), most are pretty straight forward. I never had to look on the wiki to find solutions to them, and most give obvious hints.

I don’t see how repetively left clicking until I develop carpal tunnel syndrome is fun. Most enemies had the same AI too and died in one or two hits. The balance in the game was broken PvE wise. You could become invincible with life steal and kill anything with the assasin class.

This idea has been shut down many times before. It is completely useless to host another server, that is only made for nostalgia purposes.

 

I don’t know what you mean by that. The entire game follows a simple format of a quest or two on every level on average with a dungeon every 10 levels. Every quest is laid out in your quest book. But given how easy it is to level up, you don’t have to do everything.

 

too many identifications and elements

 

We have to move on from the past and expand onto the future. Nastalgia cannot be the founding father of our existance.

 

Elements don’t really affect gameplay until the 80s during the Hive.

IDs are pretty straight forward too and aren’t that significant until you reach the endgame. But by then you should have a good grasp of the item system.
