General Change "dark Wizard" To "necromancer"

It's shorter... it's more consistent with the other VIP+ names... it's the NEW PROPOSED NAME FOR DARK WIZARD!

A minor issue, but NEEDS to be addressed. Here's why:

1. It's a shorter name! Who's ever wanted to say "I'm playing as DaRk WiZaRd?" Just call it Wizard, man. Much more convenient. (Also, theoretically, it'd save like five characters worth of memory.) Adds to the efficiency value.

2. Consistency with other names! Picture this: You're writing a list of the donator class names. Hunter... Knight... D-Dark Wizard? And then Ninja. All the other classes have one word, but then Dark Wizard has that unnecsary "Dark". Why? If all the other classes were "Dark", that'd be fine. It adds to the consistency and familiarity of the names. But they're not. That makes Dark Wizard an issue. Plus, shorter, one-word names are usually more effective as a result in the end in player's memories and experience. (Adds to the effectiveness value.)

3. It's just oddly random to call it "Dark" Wizard. Wizard would be a better name, or Sorceror, or something stronger. The addition of "Dark" feels like a false, unnecessary adjective. A different, single noun could be used to imply the same level of power. Maybe even Magician!

EDIT: After opening up the thread the day after, three minor things I wanted to quickly add.
1. Necromancer would probably work as the best name, as explained in a post below.
2. Why isn't my title capitalised properly? That's kinda messy that its coded to automatically change the title like that. (and 'To' shouldn't be capitalised) Again, just a minor complaint. Maybe it does more good than harm.
3. If you dislike this idea, at least check out this one: https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/new-mode-for-r.233103/ This should also be implemented.

tbh i think dark wizard sounds a lot cooler than just wizard or magician or whatever, as for a shorter name, my guy, its one syllable it literally doesnt matter

I support it. As Ragni soldier who saves the entire world, why would you be 'dark'?

 

A minor issue it is - it's just a lil annoying. If it doesn't matter, then why not change it to something shorter, more convenient? Or, if not that - even a word just as long, but is still a single word, will be (in most cases) more convenient and looks more appealing than typing out two words, such as when listing the classes as stated earlier. It is just a minor issue, yes?
And as for a cool-sounding name, there are many wizard synonyms. "Necromancer" sounds pretty cool - and it literally means a wizard that practices in the dark/black arts. I think that fits better, wouldn't you?

Fair enough! I only think it's significant because it's the name of one of the eight (technically four) classes in Wynncraft, so I feel it'd have an slight impression on some people if it looks slightly off. That's all! :P

I'd say that's because it's such a minor thing, that no-one would bother complaining about it. I know it slightly irritated me for the longest time, since it was introduced, but only now have I really spoke up about it.

This suggestion should be implemented if Wynncraft wants to be a bit more professional, in all aspects. :P

 

All the spells are designed to be "dark" in this cosmetic class, so being just a "wizard" would be odd. Plus I find dark wizard to be way cooler

 

Sorceror, Magician, Necromancer. I feel they're all better than Wizard, and way way way better than Dark Wizard. Would you agree to that? :p

 

I don't know, necromancers summon the undead, magician is too similar to mage, and sorcerer could maybe work?

 

I still feel like any name is better than Dark Wizard, especially because of the above reasons.

 

How about Sorcerer? That sounds nice imo

whats wrong with being dark? youre not necessarily bad just youre dark, unless u only like generic light vs dark crap
