The economy is in trouble
The rich have stacks of LEs and the poor don't even have a stack.
But that's capitalism for you.
Anyway my idea

Turn all LEs and EMs already in the world to emeralds. This will reset the economy.

It will piss people of but it will slow the problem long enough to come up with a long term solution

 

Piss people off would be an understatement. A reset like this would lead to tons of people quitting due to losing progress in the game. We need a solution to the economy, but this would likely end up making things worse as we attempt to find one.

 

Just resetting the economy is not a sustainable solution. Within a few months, people will he rich once more

As I said in the post it's not to fix it but to slow it down until it can be fixed.

Why not just get an actual money sink, or another great idea rather than just resetting?

Also, if all LEs are turned into emeralds, would it be better to have everything already turned into EBs? :hmm:

Fixing the economy is needed, yes, but that isn't a good way to do it at all, its just like all the "reset wynncraft" ideas, yea, maybe it would make everything more fair, maybe it would be fun, but do you imagine all the time lost for so many players? That wouldn't make wynncraft more fun and active, it would just straight up kill it.

 

This... solves actually nothing. That or it makes it worse and people might as well just quit the game since one of these possiblities will happen:

-People can turn all of the Emeralds back into Emerald Blocks and then back to Liquid Emeralds... it's just a pain in the butt.
-People's banks break from the amount of space since it's 64 slots for a single Liquid Emerald. So either a TON of Emeralds will go missing, or people's items will break away into nothing and glitch out.

It's just more of a problem than a fix.

B-but this isn’t how the economy works....

 

Some people have around 15 stacks of le, if all that were to be converted back to emeralds, they would loose over half of their le with the bank space only taking up a few slots, not to mention it would be a bitch to convert over everything that remains. Still people would loose half of their les and therefore making some items impossible to sell for a certain period of time until people are back on their feet. While it does temporary slow down the economy, I can imagine it would also destroy it due to what I said before about limited bank space. Either way it doesn't help the economy, because once people are back on track, economy is broken again, and you can't preform the same act over and over again attempting to slow it down further. Tbh communism would work better.

And on the pissing people off part, they would be infuriated to find that they lost over half of their le's cause it couldn't fit in their banks, ik I would, and quite frankly I would call it quits. That or I use potato as a new currency.

 

I think he means that every stack of le would become stack of basic emeralds, what would cause 70% ppl of endgame leave due to completely resetting their money progress.
Its not like ppl would eventually get their money back, they would simply leave and never come back

 

we need a money sink but only for the rich so somthing like reparing butreparing but only for mythics (pleas no)

 

I don't really remember what the points were against repairing items (even just mythics) but I'm pretty sure you can find plenty of explanations why it prob wouldn't be the best idea (at least not like it is presented)

Guys, there is simply no permanent solution to the economy. Period. It's just going to stay this way. I've said it countless times, even with all the money sinks in the world, hyperinflation would still happen, and people would be equally frustrated if all their emeralds they got just went towards paying bills.

Maybe as a side project I'll graph the amount of "fix economy" threads. That sounds like it'll be interesting.
