That Would Be Cool If We Can Visit Back Og Wynncraft Map

same as title, this idea just pops up in my mind and i really want to visit that og detlas lol

 

Honestly, I think that a single server dedicated to the old Wynn map might not a be a bad idea, but would it see much play? Sure, revisiting old Wynn might be nice for a veteran, but I don't know how attractive it would be to newer players. Besides, what Wynn map would be revisited? The original one when the server launched? 1.12 Detlas? The map has just been redone so many times and I don't know if it would be worth making a server for each iteration.

 

old detlas is like a flipphone, and detlas now is like an iphone, why would you want a flipphone when you can have an iphone?

ofc all the older players would like to revisit them good ol days to maybe explore something they missed or just for the nostalgia, but it is also isnt something thats too doable considering as was stated, which version of the map would be used? Although now that i think about it maybe they could put it on rotation or smth but idrk /shrug

 

I would like to add to what people are saying, that I doubt they actually keep backups of all the old versions for longer than a year. I would be surprised if they still have backups that go back before Corkus

 

In order to do this they would have to rebuild the map

So just a gut feeling, but my instincts tell me they aren't gonna do that.

 

But what's the point? You'd walk trough the map for an hour and realize that old Wynn was a boring, grindy and buggy game. I think a lot of people would agree with me when I say that the current version of Wynn is much better than older ones.

 

I mean if you just want a map download I'm sure they have that somewhere, but I don't know if they want to give it out like that, even if it's very old stuff

 

They don’t back up old maps or the old code. Even if they did it would be a waste of resources.

 

It'd be cool to be able to see the old map again in the same way that the map on the website works, but not actually in game.
