Nevermind, here comes my suggestion:

Make an emerald cap. Each player should own at max 3 stacks of le.

To Prevent everyone having the max amount, add curses in higher level areas, that have to be cured, or kept.
Curses should have some positive, but mostly negative effects. For example extreme strengh and Speed, but unable to lvl up intelligence. that stuff…

Vampirism: only 2 Soul Points at day, high life steal at night
Werewolf curse: High Jumping, +30 strengh Points, -10000 intelligence

And you come up with the rest.

Yes, although, you can no longer sell tthem for that amoount, since you should only have at max 3 stacks. This will limit the max possible prize for any item to 3 stacks.

 

I’m worried this might solve inflation, but then make a much bigger problem.
All the rich players would give away all their emeralds to someone else to split up all the money but not burn any of it. This would mean that almost everyone has 3 stacks now. Since an item can cost max 3 stacks, almost everyone can afford to buy any item. That would mean that now everyone can afford everything and nobody really wants emeralds anymore. If people find emeralds, they would throw them out. They are technically worth more due to the limited supply of them, however the fact everyone has or is close to the max amount kills any want to get more.

The most likely scenario is that everyone decides Potatoes are the new currency and converts all their emeralds to potatoes.


Imagine limiting how much money you can have in the real world. Nobody would want more money since they would likely already have enough, so they would stop working.

Just install capitalism and tax the shit out of people, makes people still angry but less angry compared to Communism

 

And yeah, didn’t notice this earlier, but people with over 3 stacks will be extremely angry when they find out that all their emeralds are gone.

 

This isn't real life. If the staff team went through with this they'd have many unhappy players, too many for them to simply ignore. Forcing a limit will only be detrimental to Wynn. It was much better when it was only a 'soft' cap that could be bypassed with enough effort. (before bank pages)

Good effort but no matter the solution, a solid 50% of people will bitch about it every time, so..

The best moneysinks are the ones the players either hardly notice or don’t care about. For example, teleportation scrolls and seaskipper passes. Imagine how many emeralds you have spent on those items. All MMORPGs have tons of random features that exist simply as money sinks. For example - Zhight Money, Potatoes, Fast Travel, Horse Breeding, Bank Pages. Most of these things are nice features to the game, like extra storage space and horses, but the fact they cost emeralds proves that they also serve as a money sink, and one that players don’t really seem to care about. If a money sink angers people, it’s a bad money sink.

 

Okay guilds cost 32-1 stack of Le, keys to dungeons you can buy, bank pages actually cost money, mobs drop less emeralds if they just add a couple little things it could really slow down this problem another one item identifier more expensive slightly

I gonna be honest, Wynn isn’t gonna stop inflation, too much is going in to make every player spend just as much taking money out the only thing they can do is slow it down enough so that there isn’t a collapse soon

 

Honestly I feel like emeralds are currently deflating in value. I heard of a time when mythics were sold for over 100 stacks of LE, now I can’t find one being sold for more than 30
