    Yo.
    As you all know the economy is a bit fucked, to try and fix it I suggest adding durability to items.
    Items will get a set durability (let's say 100,000 durability).
    When an item gets to 0 durability it will either become useless do half damage with half the id's.

    The items will then be fixed via an NPC that resides in all towns. or via a multi use repair kit that will repair 250 durability points but it will cost 1le more (available now in smiths close to you!).

    The price will work as follows per 100 durability points:
    Price=((item level)/2+(tier))/2
    Tier:
    Common=10
    Unique=30
    Rare=50
    Legendary=100
    Mythic=200

    each time you will melee attack you will loose a set amount of durability depending on your attack speed.
    super slow: 8 per attack
    very slow: 5 per attack
    slow: 3 per attack
    normal: 2 per attack
    fast: 2 per attack
    very fast: 1 per attack
    super fast: 1 per attack

    spells will reduce your durability by 3 per spell.

    I know the economy is in trouble, but I don't believe adding something that disrupts the flow of the game will help it. It'll just bring lots of negative feedback.

    Maybe I'm missing something. But I've noticed that nothing in this thread says what happens when the weapon runs out of durability? Is it gone forever? What if it breaks while I'm in a dungeon or fighting a hard boss? Or doing LI?

    Speaking of dungeons? How much durability would I have to exhaust just to grind through a dungeon for 1 item? Is it even possible to clear Fallen Factory in under 200 durability? And keep in mind that's the durability of Mythics, which have far higher durability than anything else. Most players would probably be using Legendaries at that point, which have half the durability, and no I'm not going to keep multiple weapons in my inventory just because my main weapon is almost out of durability.

    EDIT: If the durability of normal weapons is 10... How will they even get through the tutorial area? You do need to kill stuff for emeralds to buy a helmet to progress...

    I thought of two options.
    Either the weapon won't do damage until you repair it, or it will do half damage with non of the ID's effects.
    All weapons will have 1000 durability, the 10, 30, 50, 100, 200 are just values for the price function.

    Oh.

    Either way, I'm still not a fan of having to constantly worry about my weapon's durability. I believe there are better ways to fix it than forcefully disrupting the gameplay flow.

    I want to make it so an active player will only have to fix his weapon twice or thrice a week.

    not a very fun money sink tbf
    it does the job, but people that are already rich can repair items with almost no monetary loss, while a poor person may not be able to repair it at all
    it just makes a lot of people poor and makes rich people loose slightly less money, which really doesn't help

    I think I disagreed with earlier durability suggestions but I agree now.
    When an item is low it should give the user a warning to stop using the item. The durability should also be visible while holding the item. This way you can see if it's breaking in combat so you can quickly switch the weapon.
    ________________________________
    This should be higher in my opinion. With 1000 items will break really quickly. Maybe something like 10k.

    I think that a good aim would be that by the time your weapon is low you will have already replaced it at lower/mid level. The system would only really be relevant at high level.

    Good idea, durability value might need adjusting... I don’t thibk someone attacks even close to 1000 times a week. Is it only melee attacks that break it?

    Feel like repair should repair it 100% and when it breaks do the half damage, no IDs
    ________________________________
    I don’t see it disrupting gameplay much at all since you only gotta repair a couple times a week.

    Besides you got any better ideas to fix Wynns continuously declining economy?

    Buff mythic spawn chance, enforce scamming rules with sting operations, and install communism.
    In all actuality, given the nature of mythics and their owners, any net monetary loss system should only be applied to mythics.

    Mk if spells decrease by 3 durability should be higher. Maybe make spells only decrease by 1 and make durability 2500 or so

    pretty sure you could click a thousand times in one play session so that needs tweaking

    other than that, a portable (but slightly more expensive) way to repair your weapons would contribute to the money sink while helping to reduce the danger of weapons breaking in bad situations and killing the flow of the game

    Whats with all the hate?
    Tf?
    this is good idea!

    A few ideas to add on to that.

    I dont think weapons should have a "base" durability of 1k.

    Although it would be more work, scaling durability per weapon would be better.

    For example that starter stick you get? Knock that durability down a ton

    A large hammer? Boost it up!

    Some legendary? Make it have a ton of durability

    Etc.

    This way, high levels wont need to fix every 2 seconds, but price would scale as well.

    In addition when a weapon is broken a few effects perhaps.

    1. Your weapon is broken, you weren't able to cast the spell!

    2. A Flying splinter off your weapon hit you in the chest [Take damage]

    etc. etc.

    Just dont break it forever

    I agree, a portable but more expensive item repair kit or whatever would make this much easier to deal with. Also most people are lazy, so that would just contribute to the money sink even more ^.^

    I made it so low levels will switch items before needing to fix so only high levels will be effected.

    I don't get how people say this will make poorer players lose more money than rich players. Poor players will most likely be the ones leveling up and rich ones are (usually) the level 100's. While you're leveling, you switch weapons and gear a lot more often since it gets better as you progress. But a high level player will most likely have a set build they will have to repair more often because they're using it more often... right(?)
    Just basing this off that high leveled players should have more money than currently leveling ones.
