I've been think about this idea for quite some time and I thought it would be cool to have special effects that show which element you are using the most to attack.I have 2 ideas for this subject that I will explain one by one in as much detail as I can.

Idea 1: The elemental attack effects are activated whenever you are using weapons that deal elemental damage.
Whenever you attack particle effects (depending on your elemental damage will appear).

    What will they look like?:
Earth particles will look like the earth player effect with green and brown colors.
Thunder particles will be yellow with magic particles.
Water particles will be dark blue with cyan like the water wave player effect.
Fire particles will be... well... fire particles with black smoke.
Air particles will be cloud with white sparkles.

How will it work?: The particles depend on the elemental damage of your weapon. But what if the weapon has more than 1 element on it?. The answer is that the element that can do the most damage appears as a particle effect. For example a weapon has 50-70 neutral, 20-30 water and 10-50 earth damage. The neutral damage is ignored, since it doesn't affect the elements. The particle effect that is shown for this weapon is earth, because its maximum damage is 50.

What if one weapon has elements that deal the same damage?: Then the 2 or more elements share their particle effects which means they both appear on hit.

How will it look on each class?:
Archer/Hunter: The particles will follow the arrow(like a trail).
Mage/Dark Wizard: The particles will appear in the magic bolt.
Warrior/Knight: The particles will form a vertical slash in front of the player.
Assassin/Ninja: The particles will form a horizontal slash in front of the player(like the 1.9 sword slash attack).

That's all for my 1st idea now to my 2nd idea.

    Idea 2:
The elemental attacks are like other attack effects and are obtained from crates like all cosmetic rewards.
The difference between this and the first idea is that particles will look a lot better.Instead of trails or slashes the particles will be "realistic".
Earth's effect would create a "small particle effect explosion" as if it represents the strength of your attack.
Thunder's effect would create a thunderbolt in the direction you are attacking.
Water's effect would create a small wave in the direction you are attacking.
Fire's effect would create a small particle effect fire in front of you in the direction you are attacking.
Air would create a small tornado in front of you in the direction you are attacking.

That's both of my ideas tell me which one you liked the most and why. Also please tell me how I can improve this so it is acceptable. I appreciate all feedback!

imo there could be a /toggle command for these particles in case they lag too much for some people or if some people find them annoying.

I agree, this should definitely be optional. Another idea I have is, the higher your strength skill is, the more particles and bigger explosion. The higher dexterity skill you have, the more particles and a bigger lightning bolt. So the tier of your attack effect is based on your skill points. Anyways this is a really cool idea, +1 from me

yeh I just want to say that
Anyways I'd love it to be implemented since the attack effects looks pretty dry
    However
I'd like to say that why don't make some upgrades of these particles?
I mean, you could use emeralds and some conditions to upgrade them, and they got multiple upgrades....
It could be a good emerald sink, isn't it?
(yeh people wants themselves to look cool, also the economy might be fixed if they actually do this... You know, inflation)
