    Disclaimer :
    1. I know that rods can break boats but boats only work in 1.8.9 (unless i'm wrong) so this will prob only work in updates other than 1.8.9. If i'm wrong with this idea, we'll think about it.

    2. Some people are mentioning that there used to be a forum post similar to this a while back. Sadly, Fjorm and I wasn't on this server when that post was made so we didn't know about this forum thread. We didn't intentionally try to base it off of that post and apologize in advance if this makes some people uncomfortable. (we didn't even know that post existed :p)

    The good stuff :
So this player named Fjorm and I came up with an idea of fishing in Wynncraft. With fishing, players can simply catch fishes and trade it in into junk merchants and obtain emerald. From this idea, we came up with an idea for a quest.

The quest is going to start in Detlas at level 15 where your going to basically "start fishing" The
quest will go like this (without any detailed details)

    1. An old man (owns a shop but players aren't able to buy anything until the quest is over) located in Detlas is going to ask you to bring materials back to him so he could make a fishing pole for you to fish. He's first going to ask you to bring some (idk how much) "special silk" that's located in one of the abandoned houses in Detlas. (Next to the potion store) The man is going to tell you that the sewer/sewist once lived there but moved out since they had a rat invasion, which would make it so there's going to be a lot of rats in the house. The player will somehow make his way to a basement (black tp tunnel) and obtain some of the "special silk". Once the player does this, he/she is going to have to go back to the old man.

    2. The old man will then tell you to gather some (idk how much) broken twigs, which are located in the broken sheep pen right outside of the Detlas gate from Ragni. The broken twigs are going to be like the scared wheat where the player is going to have to hit it in order to obtain one. Once the player does this, he/she is going to report back to the old man.

    3. After the player brings back X amount of "special silk" and X amount of broken twigs, the old man is going to "craft" the player a fishing rod. Once the old man makes the fishing rod, he's going to ask the player to head on over to do Plains Lake. ( I sadly can't post a imgur link of the picture because I don't have 1o posts but it's the lake with a single tree in the middle located south of Detlas) and catch a specific fish that’s only located in that lake.

    4. Once the player catches the fish, he/she will report back to the old man and will be allowed to shop in his shop. The player will also be given a quest to catch every single "Province specific fish" (Ex. A special fish that's only caught in Ragni, Detlas, Almuj, etc. (The "big Cities (The ones that are bold white on Wynncraft website map. Not all the big cities are going to be used, most likely up to Olux or Gelibord) Instead of having to hold onto the fish, the fish will magically be delivered to the old man. (The player will be given a list of the fishes he/she caught already when receiving the quest). Once all the fishes are caught, the player will have to talk to the old man and receive a very good (but not the best) fishing rod.

CT WILL MOST LIKELY CHANGE HOW THIS SYSTEM WORKS BUT:

What Fjorm and I was thinking about is that players will be able to find different rods in chests and they will have % increase of catching a specific rarity of a fish, which could be sold for different prices to either the old man or junk merchants who only accepts fish. Tier 4 chests will usually have legendary and rare fishing rods (sometimes mythic items but idk about them being located in chests since I never found a mythic item before) Tier 3 chests will have rare and set. Tier 1 and 2 will have unique.

Fjorm and I are still coming up with ideas but this is we got withing an hour. Things will probably not make sense and we'll try out best to make it reasonable. We'll be updating it as time goes on and will make changes most likely.

I remember there was this amazing and extremely detailed fishing suggestion made by some wynn girl. It might've been before the 9/7 forum wipe even.
Anyways, fishing would be a good activity just like Seavale Reef. I like this, even though your suggestion isn't very detailed!

What I was thinking was that using the territory system, some areas (not too specific, i.e. Light Forest or Nesaak Tundra) would have some native fish which could be sold for much higher prices and can only be caught in that one area. This would make the fishing “route” so to speak take a bit longer if a player wanted to catch every fish, giving more things to do! So in my plan, a pool would not be necessary.
