ORADOM PROVINCE SUGGESTION

ABOUT SORADOM -

Soradom
Story : Soradom originated from the Ix family. Ixadoleous, also known as Ix, always hoped of creating a province, which turned out to be succesful.

Building of the place : Ix had a lot of wealth and friends who assisted him. One of them was Oradofus, who supplied the materials. In 723AP, the making of the province began. Ix hired the best wynn builders to build such a modern province, that was completed in 988AP.

The Library : The first place to be done was the Ixopolis library, as the Soradomians were obsessed with reading and writing. The making of the building was done in 724AP.

Main Religion : The main religion was Ixodary, meaning Wind worship. Most Soradomians were religious. Their god was Ixeedis, who ruled the skies. Ixodary grew up as a religion and became known widely


Cities -
Ixopolis
Lore : HEART OF SORADOM
Ixadoleous II the Great (Founder of Soradom) had a big dream of creating a modern province, as he was greatly into technology.

This was the first city to be created. He hired hardworking builders, which costed him a fortune, to create this futuristic city.

It's name originated from his rich family, Ix, meaning wind worshippers. They were very religious and respectful.

Meduna
Lore : This city is the most upgraded of them all. It is known for its scientists, who have created devices such as the mobey.

It was made in 749AP, right after the birth of Ix's son, which is now ruled by him.

Meduna is the smallest city in Soradom, although the builders are trying to expand it. They think it would become the largest in a century.

Poladoi
Lore : Poladoi, the richest of all cities. This city is heavily guarded with golems made from hard iron and rock. It supplies the other cities if needed.

Many tried invading the city, but failed and some were held as prisoners, and some as slaves. Prisons there are very cruel, none could escape from them.



Devices and Travelling objects -

The Mobey - Meduna scientists thought of creating a device that has special and helpful features. It allows you to search for coordinates of places you've been to. Mobeys allow you to do more stuff such as saving coordinates for later use.

If you ever wish to buy a mobey from a Tech Merchant, it would cost you 8 Liquified Emeralds. The maximum amount of mobeys you can have is two.

[2/6] Pasqi: Ixopolis? Well it's a bit complicated.
[3/6] Pasqi: To make it short, Ixopolis is far more beyond than any city ever seen.
[4/6] Pasqi: Its technology is unreal...
[5/6] Pasqi: Now of course I don't want to spoil what awaits you in Ixopolis!
[6/6] Pasqi: Getting to Soradom is gonna take a while friend, so I suggest you take a nap or two.

After a nap, you start hearing some bell sounds.

[1/4 ] Pasqi: Hey friend! Are you awake?
[2/4] Pasqi: We're here at Soradom!
[3/4] Pasqi: Don't want to sleep over the entire highlight of this journey, eh?
[4/4] Pasqi: Come meet me outside.

[1/4] Pasqi: Here you are! I've been waiting for you.
[2/4] Pasqi: There has been some troubles in here. Would you care to assist me?
[3/4] Pasqi: Some strange creatures have been attacking us recently.
[4/4] Pasqi: I need you to try to take them out, I'll be calling the guards.

As you fight the minions, a bang is heard behind you

[1/3] Pasqi: WHAT WAS THAT?
[2/3] Pasqi: The bang must have exploded the rock! It looks to have made a cave!
[3/3] Pasqi: Let's go and enter it.

A strange monster is to be seen in the cave. You might have to defeat it

[1/3] Pasqi: Woah! That's a huge monster!
[2/3] Pasqi: I cannot stay here. Go defeat it and bring me back its remains.
[3/3] Pasqi: I have to leave, I'm not used to fighting. I'll be waiting outside of Ixopolis.

[3/4] Pasqi: I'm greatly sorry that i couldn't introduce you to Ixopolis in a nice way.
[4/4] Pasqi: Here! Take this as a reward for your hard work.

Sounds pretty cool, i like how fleshed our it is. One problem I see is how you contain to be super technological but we already have corkus. Seems dumb to make another province who’s main claim to fame is their technology

not gonna lie that the concept of the province sounds sort of good
but just 2 problems:
1.
does everything need to start/end in Ix? it gets quite... annoying
2.
i read the thread and i couldnt find any mention to the evil of the province
each province has some sort of evil:
Wynn - Corruption
Gavel - Decay
Corkus - Murderous Robots
Dern - Darkness
Fruma - Shit Government, i think

this one would also need some sort of evil or something, unless the province is supposed to be small and more of a place with lots of lore, quests and tons of dangerous exploring

 

I like the idea I just am not sure about the quest. I'm assuming this quest is supposed to be like 'The Envoy Part I', where you travel to a new province, learning more and more about the area throughout the quest. What that quest does so well is give you information about Corkus throughout the entire quest, while in 'Modern World' the player doesn't get any more information about Soradom past the second stage of the quest. The conclusion to the quest also bothered me, what are these "strange creatures"? In 'The Envoy Part I' we're introduced to the mech's, the general antagonists of Corkus and the most common enemies in the region. If the monster you fought against was important to Soradom and the story it brings with it, I would like it. However ending a quest with a boss fight for no reason isn't very fun for the player.

Some more general questions:

Where would the province be on the map?

What do Mobeys do exactly? I'm confused of their purpose and why they're so expensive.

The main religion of Soradom is Ixodary, but it doesn't seem very connected to what the province is about. Does the technology of Soradom use wind as an energy source?

How big is Soradom? What are some of the different biomes/areas? what is the general layout of the province?

What are the access points to the province? Can it only be reached through air ships?

Overall this is a cool idea and I like it, but maybe go more in depth on your plans.

pleas stop with provinces and shit cuz we got dern in like half a year and than fruma and prob a other update befor fruma so yea that wil take like 1,5 years and after that you can suggest new prvinces lol im so done with it xD im sorry
