World Is Air Powder's Special Effect Too Weak On Weapons?

    Yeah uhh, went on a mini-rant in discord and decided to relocate it to here for both simplicity and public visibility. Do you think Air powder's special on weapons is too weak? Alternatively, buffing Air armors to give damage for enemies farther away (but still within a certain range) could be useful too. I've been told by staff that the range of Air armor's special is 3 blocks at most.

    Anyway, please leave your thoughts below. Do Air special effects need a buff?

    The idea behind the air special (at least what I get from it) is a way to get out of a sticky situation, not a massive damage boost to yourself or your party. Besides, air *usually* isn't all that for damage anyway, hence dodge with really high agil stats+walkspeed can be a lil ridiculous

    My opinion for armour passive = higher dodge chance when lower on hp

    The weapon ability could be an 'air prison' that stops the enemy from casting movement spells and lowers their walk speed by 90% for a few seconds. The duration and severity of the walk speed nerf could vary based on the powder tier.

    Also the knockback should be removed, it's fun one or 2 times for the lols but after that it becomes a nuisance.

    here's what i think it should do.
    the wind prison concept stays the same, but instead of ending whenever the enemy gets hit, it will trap them for a short duration. throughout the special, damage is racked up, and then multiplied at the end of the duration in 1 big hit.
    doing this will stop its damage from being underwhelming and will also keep the enemy close.

    I really like this idea. The question then becomes how to calculate that damage because there are a few ways it could work. The first one I'm thinking of would be to track all damage dealt to that mob over the next 3 seconds (from either only that player or from all players) and then take the total of that damage, and re-apply it (kinda like Zed's ultimate in league). The 2nd option I'm thinking is to tack on a multiplier for like, 10 seconds starting at x1.1 damage and increase by .1 every time the mob takes damage. Either way, I think the range on Air armor's special needs to be increased to at least 5, maybe 10 blocks. This way, you don't need to be SO CLOSE that you're going to get hit, (still 1/5 chance with max agi) which means if you're near 4-5 mobs trying to get a damage boost, you're probably getting hit at least once, and in extremely dangerous places, like Legendary Island, there's a good chance of that happening and you just get 1 shot. Also, adding to the fact that you lose damage whenever you kill something near you (but you want to kill things near you so you don't get hit).

    TL;DR: I'm all for the new wind prison idea, but I think the armor special would also need a slight change. Increasing to 5 range means you can keep mobs close, but still out of range of hitting you.

    As a person who mains an air assassin, I wholeheartedly agree. Wind prison is far and away the worst powder special. It's counterproductive, janky, and is just complete shit in team fights or with poison. And even the concept itself doesn't really work since all of the classes ALREADY have a "get away" spell (war scream, teleport, vanish, arrow shield) that's both more consistent and more likely to be up when it's needed. Not only that, but for it to work, you'd need to be able to hold the special for a long period of time, which means you can't switch off of your weapon AT ALL if you use it.
