Im sure many older players would like to try them out, and newer players who haven't experienced pre-gavel would also enjoy it.

Anyways, the idea is you can create a pre-gavel character or a normal character. It is by default post-gavel, but you can choose it to be pre-gavel in the tutorial area. Since im bad at suggestions, your genious GM team can come up with something.

And dont think they dont have the old code/map for pre-gavel, they most definitely have it saved somewhere.

 

entirely certain that they've said they don't have the stuff saved that they need

and even if they do, there are a ton of reasons why this can't be done, or at least won't

This suggestion had been made many times before. Do some reasearch before posting next time.

 

The main reason why this idea sucks, is that now that we have Gavel, everything before is extremely bare bones.
Many of the quests are bad, weapons are just good based on damage, and many builds in Wynn kinda sucked. (Especially the old Almuj marketplace)
So no, This thread is not a good idea

Ok besides Wynn D, that’s pretty much about it. Quest revamps didn’t come until after Gavel :-/

 

The thing I liked about old wynn isnt quests are advanced items, it was simple and not over detailed.

I don't understand why players want to revert back to the ancient times. World of Warcraft is planning for it, RuneScape has done it and I myself having worked on numerous games and having applied updates and hours, days, weeks, months & years slowly updating the product over time just to rid the bugs and provide new content after new content. An endless amount of blood, sweat and tears go into games and in this case the shear amount of work that has gone into Wynncraft, I can never begin to comprehend.

Having seen a product that you have been or currently are passionate about get feedback from players asking for older versions is insulting. Nothing lasts forever, we have to adapt constantly to changes that are out of our control, if one doesn't adapt then one is left behind. Memories of how it once was before and sharing stories with fellow veterans can be just as good.

Your comment above; I am new here to Wynncraft, I am new to the forum and nobody knows me. I don't want to step on anybodies toes but I need to engage in the community and play my part and I apologise if this message appears insulting, I merely wish to express my feedback on this thread. I couldn't imagine going from the current Wynncraft as it is of writing this post to how it was "pre-gavel" However, I could image that I would enjoy it far less and would wish for more content.
