World Add A Tier Between Legendary And Mythic

    now, i already know what you're going to say
    "this is gonna take a metric fuckton of effort and there is really no point in this and it could shred apart the economy worse than it already is"
    ...
    yeah i can see that
    but heres the deal
    this is an idea to sorta solve the problem of there being such a huge gap between legendaries and mythics.
    for example, take rich people from the past like carnegie
    his way to give to the poor was to make museums, universities, and other types of stuff
    this was to give the poor a "stepping stone" in order to reach new heights
    ...you can see where i'm going with this

    the rarity of these items would be extremely rare, but not like mythics odds
    it would be at the point where you don't come across it by accident, but if you work hard for it you'll get it very soon, unlike mythics where its highly based on RNG.
    this also would make it so the market wouldn't become oversaturated with them, and also lower their effects on the prices of legendaries and mythics. it also would allow legendaries to stay "viable", if i may say that, due to it being difficult to gain access to these items in the first place.

    there's also the problem with effort being made to make these, there isn't really a good workaround about this.
    but wait, there might be.
    the fact that these items are going to be rare, makes it so you'll really only be using these at endgame. because of that, these would only be added to endgame, similar to mythics.
    due to that, not many items would need to be made, lessening the amount of time needed to be spent.

    while this isn't necessarily needed, it would be a huge quality of life improvement, and also have a positive effect on the distribution of wealth.

    finally, this is not a super specific idea, but more of a big concept. for that reason, i won't include ideas for these items or ideas for the rarity name.

    2. This is still pretty RNG. Making it just endgame would make it like how mythics are, but just not as rare.

    Dungeon items. Usually better than legends in my experience but not as good as mythical

    Basically just RNG for higher levels (like how mythics are rn), unless there's a specific way to earn them like dungeon gear.

    Honestly, if another tier is added, it should be something exclusive to dungeons or something. If you add a tier between Legendary and Mythic that is dropped via normal means, 1 of 2 things can happen: It will be too easy to find just like Legendaries, or will become too difficult to find (though not quite at the same levels of RNG as Mythics). There's also the issue of power creep; assuming that this hypothetical tier will be greater than both "Regular" and "Dungeon" Legendaries, there's going to be an issue with balance as some Dungeon Legendaries are already comparable to Mythics. Do we nerf the legendaries (and the other tiers below it to sustain balance between them) or buff the Mythics just so we can squeeze another tier between them? Or if they're only as powerful as regular Legendaries, why even add them when we already have Dungeon items?

    Speaking of Dungeon Legendaries, I like to think of Legendary items obtained from dungeons as it's own tier between regular Legendaries and Mythics, due to how powerful they tend to be, but requiring 0 emeralds to obtain (Unless you buy keys...). Maybe Dungeon items from future corrupted dungeons could become good alternatives to Mythics?

    the only dungeon items that show themselves as noticably stronger than other legends are judas and wick.

    I don't have much criticism myself for the idea itself (as there's not much detail in terms of how these items would work -- I know you said it was a big concept but that just makes it hard to judge), but if you expand on this suggestion please take these two respected community members' ideas into account.

    (Dungeon Legendaries could have their own tier, that'd be pretty cool.)

    yeah i searched beforehand for similar ideas
    i guess i missed them somehow
    that's my fault

    anyway, yeah i said it wasnt absolutely necessary but i believe it would have a really good effect on the distribution of wealth.

    with making the game easier, i put down that, while not on the same caliber as mythics, large amounts of effort would have to be spent to get them. this makes it so they arent just readily available to make it that much easier.

    and idk about creating a cycle at all. i dont really see how it would do that. i think that a single tier would satisfy people.

    finally, i don't feel the need to expand on this. it's simplt because this is such a huge concept, it's not something for me to make any more ideas on. the only reason the thread is as long as it is was from reasoning for the idea, and not in fact actual features.

    tophet, heat sink, ossuary, centipede, admiral, blasphemy, heartbreak, all the sanctuary items, all the hive items, corrupted nii, discharge, anti-static, sine, golden scarab, dune storm, dust skaters, shall I continue? I mean, those aren't even all the dungeon items. I did use wynndata's "other drop type" search to find them, so they could be other merchant items I accidently threw in there and not just dungeon merchant ones. I'd say all of those are a cut above most the legendary items you can get from mobs/chests normally. Especially the likes of Heat Sink, Centipede, and (at level) blasphemy. I solo'd corrupter of worlds (TOA boss) with the exile and blasphemy (yea a lvl 50 item and I solo'd a 75 boss, feels good). Just stun locked the dude with my mana steal for spin blindness.

    Almost all legendaries from dungeons are extremely op for their level. Web Plate, Mud, the legendary weapons from underworld crypt, all legendaries from sand swept tomb including springtrap, all of the legendary armor from ice barrows and criistal, and admiral. (Undergrowth ruins has no legendaries in it, i cri)

    Those aren’t even getting in to the corrupted dungeons and fallen factory, which can give items viable for endgame builds, such as pretty much everything @NicBOMB mentjkmed
