Good old dexterity. Improves your chance of critical hits. It feels great when you get a crit.
    Except it really, honestly doesn't.
With my build, I don't even notice when I get a crit. This is why I suggest this simple idea.

Just have a set chance for a crit, and have dexterity increase crit damage. Also upon a critical hit, the damage indicator is bold (@Cruuk came up with this).

Why is this a good thing?
It fits with the whole idea of thunder being burst damage. Fast attacks such as super fast melee or Assassin's Multihit can take advantage of this change.
Additionally, it would make it more satisfying and notable to get a crit.

Overall, this change would have little effect to the potential of Dexterity, BUT would make it more noticeable in gameplay. For example, you can easily notice the effects of Intelligence or Agility, and with this, Dexterity would become more noticeable. Think of it as a quality of life improvement.

Ok, so first let me tell you from a balance perspective what this would have to look like.

So currently, as you already know, Dex and Strength work like this.

So with 68 Strength you'd be doing 50% more melee/spell% 100% of the time aka 50% more dps. With 68 Dexterity, you'd be doing 100% more melee/spell% 50% of the time aka 50% more dps, just like Strength.

So in your system, if you make the set chance 50%, you have to make it so Dexterity gives double the % what it would normally give if it were a normal id, aka at 68 Dex, it'd have to give you 100% more dmg on a crit.

Anyways, you can see how the lower you make the set chance, the higher you have to make Dexterity give in % for a crit. That's fine, though it will lead to crits being pretty insane, especially as you lower the set chance, so that its overall dps is the same as Strength.

Anyways, about what Dexterity is supposed to be. Dexterity is more like inconsistent (super huge ranges) and over time (as it has higher attack speeds). Burst damage would be strength with heavy-hitting slow weapons but more consistent (small ranges).

This suggestion sorta does that, but it doesn't really need to change, as Dexterity does fit what it is currently.
