Warp Controller - Warp Scroll Menu

Bit of a smaller suggestion that I would personally like this time. Simply put, my idea is to replace physical scrolls you hold in your inventory with a sort of scroll you access through a menu. Instead of buying scrolls from a Scroll Merchant and being required to hold it in your inventory, why not have a menu with all of your unlocked scroll locations to just click on and teleport to.

Dungeon Scrolls would also be stored, but do not cost Soul Points to use

I would imagine this does not require too much of an explanation. All this does is transfer scrolls from a physical item to a menu-type item.

Also, you would not have access to towns that you have not visited yet. It would have an X icon over it like with exiting menus.

Feel free to leave comments or suggestions for this idea. Some of you may recognize my username and think "Isnt that the guy that over-complicates everything? What on earth is this simple suggestion?" You would be right. I am trying to steer clear of the larger game-changing suggestions, as these simpler ones are far more likely to actually be added.

uh im feelin a bit lazy rn and i dont rly wanna read everything, but uh how would you get the scrolls into the menu? is the menu shared across classes? if not, would you be able to get them out? not to mention its pretty much like just a bunch more bank space. theres a reason people dont have scrolls for every town/city in the game (not just that people are lazy lol) cuz it takes up too much space. but from a quality of life perspective its pretty gud i guess lol

yea ik its in the menu but if it holds ur scrolls outside the main inventory system that means you can have other items in their place thus more bank space .-.
and still how would you get them out? like if i had a troms scroll om my mgr and i want to give it to my archer, would there be an option for that?

 

Its not an inventory, its a clickable menu. The scrolls are no longer physical. Its like Skill Points and Cosmetic Items, you dont physically hold them in your inventory with my suggestion. It would be only for that class, and would not be transferable between classes.

Besides, with the addition of 8 Bank Pages, its very unlikely giving a little more bank space is a problem, as its really only limiting in the earlier levels.

Also the scrolls go directly to that menu. Ex. buying a scroll will say something like
"Thank you for your purchase, 1 [Detlas Scroll] has been added to your Warp Controller"

 

you have no idea how fast 11 bank pages fill up lmao
anyway being able to tp to any city at any time is pretty op
lets see tehre are like 20 differant scrolls or smth so then being able to use any of those is a bit busted (btw there are 42 slots per bank page, so thats like (a portable) half a bank page of scolls :/)
not to mention sometimes they dont work and you have to move aroudn a bit, it would be annoying to have to open the menu each time

 

Why not make the menu for all classes?
You can't teleport to cities you haven't been to anyways.

Just a personal QoL suggestion, if the Devs were to actually add it they would probably tweak it in a way that makes the most sense

How is the GUI arranged because it looks really random in the screenshot. Why are they all over the place like that?

 

Wasnt exactly sure how to arrange it. Basically the City scrolls are all on top, and the Dungeon scrolls are on the bottom. If I had to think of an order off the top of my head it would be the left side first, then the right side, ordered by level of the city, left to right and top to bottom.

I will admit I could make a much more organized GUI, but oh well

 

It would be a great idea if it was only accessible from within cities, especially if it was in cities that have scroll merchants. Just simply place a npc next to a scroll merchant, and this idea would sound fantastic

 

That would be great, maybe add a bit of a money sink?
