Drop 1.8 Support

I know this is a touchy subject, but look at everything 1.9 and above has to offer and the minuses that they have on a normal survival server compared to 1.8 don't even affect Wynncraft.

At this point having 1.8 support is only hindering the server and the devs from being able to use different blocks, new redstone and items, and new features that could further boost gameplay.

And the hit-counter does not mean anything; Wynncraft damage is calculated based on the weapon damage itself, not the hit counter and vanilla damage.

I've played both 1.8 and 1.9+, and I have to say 1.9 is actually better compared to 1.8. But that's just my opinion so....

I see no reason why Wynncraft still has 1.8 support, at this point it's doing nothing but hindering the server from using more stuff that newer updates can offer.

While it would be great because there would be quite a few bugs vanishing (like boats) and the fact that 1.9 is way better to play the game (for example more custom skins) I think one of the reason that Wynncraft won't be leaving 1.8 yet is because there's still a nice amount of people using 1.8 to play the game.

 

I prefer not get push by players when I'm afking, that's why I use 1.8.

you can't get pushed in 1.9, 1.10, or 1.11, only 1.12+ im pretty sure

Either way, you can get rid of the player collision with a simple game rule change.

You get pushed in 1.8 anyways. I've done it before and I've gotten pushed in 1.8 before.

but the pushing can be stopped with a very simple gamerule change

 

The issue isn't the downfalls, it's the fact it takes time to update the server like that.
Since all the Wynn plugins are personalized, the Dev team would need to recode the game for all of the major internal changes Minecraft suffered with the 1.9+ jump.
