Open More Worlds

I think wynn would have less lag if you guys just opened more worlds ive noticed that all the worlds are breaking 50 players but before the update it was only 10-15 people per world not 50 please open more worlds I would really appreciate it and so would many more.

Also, there was like 40-50 players each world before I think. And then it was 75. Not 50.

 

The amount of people online depends on the time of year and day. I find that if America is awake, or on holiday, there are more servers up and they are generally more full.

First it is tradition for me to be an asshole so ....

When did this happen? was there an apocalypse or sum shit?
ik there were servers with 0 ppl (ghost servers that displayed 0 ppl even though there was ppl on them got patched like yesterday i think)

OK back to being only slightly an asshole
Based on the time you posted that i can assume you play at the same time most americans play (before their cute little bed time) which is when a lot of people find it hard to stay on worlds. if one was to go on now they would find about 3 to 5 worlds compared to the usual 10-20 that is open when americans are playing.

Te past few weeks jp and the other big bois have done a crap ton of work making worlds faster to enter. A month ago it would take some players 10minutes to log in and by that time the world might have restarted to it now taking under a minute for people with bad internet connection.

What i would probably consider the main three reasons for the lack of worlds is
1) there is actually that much of a need. If you just join a world with few people (one that just restarted) there is little lag
2) More worlds just creates more places for more things to go wrong in.
3) more worlds wouldn't actually help with the lag.

And also don't talk about lag to someone who plays wynncraft on a Macbook Air in Australia. The computer that cant run games in the land of shit ping.

Time to be nice
If you are having trouble with the lag all i can suggest is too:
Turn down all your graphics settings and particles in-game and lower rendered chunks
Turn up the amount of Ram dedicated to mine craft.
Close all background apps and if you need to listen to music, open the map or chat on discord i would suggest using a phone or other device.
Attempt to play at a different time of the day as that can MAJORLY affect the amount of people and therefore the amount of lag you get,
The final tip is to just get on servers that have recently started fresh (FRESH HMMM)

Worlds are created automatically based on the number of players already online.

Servers take a while before they start reporting their player counts (for some weird reason, we haven't tracked down why just yet). 0-player servers tend to not actually have 0 players on them.

This has nothing to do with how many worlds there are.

This isn't true.

They weren't specifically talking to you. Even if they were, your experiences do not discount other player's experiences. Be nice :)

The actual reason for the limited number of worlds is simply that there's no reason to have more. We create just enough worlds for the number of players that are on at any time, because we don't want a bunch of empty worlds sitting around.
