World Afk Kicking

A simple suggestion with quite a few
benefits, and I'm wondering why it wasn't
in the game before hand

Kicking for AFK is a simple concept, but probably not as simple to code
but I wouldn't know cause I've only coded in Scratch.

Chances are people will say "just do /class" or "hide in a building" , but as we've seen from countless threads about the situation, many newer players and older players from the game won't /class.

Concept:
If a player is AFK for a certain amount of time they will be kicked, the time length will most likely be around 5-10 minutes AFK time, if a player is AFK for this time limit they will be kicked into the class menu. The player will be warned about being kicked for AFK in chat, e.g "You have been idol for (x) minutes, you'll be put into the class menu in (x) minutes.", thus preventing many of these problems which I will point out now.

Benefits:
-Prevents people from losing their stuff from PMI's or just from mobs entering safe areas.

-Prevents AFK Grinding (if that even exists anymore)

Problems:
-One major problem that can affect this is the collision of players from people who play in 1.9+, which will be recognized as movement and will not kick the player. The only way to combat this is to disable player collision by using a scoreboard feature. This will both allow players to be kicked for AFK and to prevent other players from pushing them into lava or mobs. Again I have no experience of coding or the difficulty of implementing this but from what I've heard, it seems to be a very straight forward procedure.

-Another problem is that majority of the puzzles in Wynn require the player to stay still, such as the annoying door puzzle in N-Lab in ??? quest, and sometimes cutscenes. The only solution I can think of is to make a reasonable AFK timer which will both prevent players from being kicked during cutscenes/puzzles, and proteccing a player's items.

- There are exploits which can prevent afk kicking e.g weighing down the mouse/keyboard or using a modded game. This will be quite hard to combat plus trying to catch AFK grinders a lot more harder.

I've been thinking about AFK kicking for months as well as wondering why it wasn't in the game in the first place. There are many benefits but each follow a few problems.

TL;DR No more "Lost items" threads, but probably some "Got kicked for doing a puzzle f**k this, I'm going back to Dungeon Realms"

I'd rather say, put the player in /class or in a safe room, i'll explain my point later, but basically in a safe room, if you move again you get tp'd back to where you were.

mine would prob work better as it wouldn't kick you in the lobby but rather just put you somewhere you can move again, also, why not put a message like "you've been afk for too long, if you are afk x more minutes then you are going to be put in the safe room/ in /class

My idea avoid both, while it may create some more though... :/


Also, another problem would be that sometime people look up the wiki/videos to find answers to quests... ;/

Its just another reason to why people may be kicked for AFK

 

Well I doubt it would take people 5-10 minutes to look up how to do a puzzle, plus you could minimize your windows so you have the puzzle +the puzzle guide present on your screen side by side.

no god let me sit idle for 20 minutes in detlas while i eAT IN PEACE AND QUIET. i think the 5-10 minutes afk kick is gonna be annoying as fuck if they'll implement it.
