Throughout Wynn there are many clues as to who the character who we represent in wynn is. We know that our character is a man, or a woman who looks a lot like a man. We know that our character is human from various character dialogues. I hate this. Specifically defining who someone's character is in a mmorpg game removes the creative aspect of getting to chose who my character is. I would love it if there was a gui at some point in the game that would let you customize these things. What do you guys think?

I don't think that is correct... I don't think there are places that tell if you are a guy or girl at all. Even if they hint, it's still neutral... also this would require a lot of lore change, and coding changes... a LOT.

The main character, which the player plays as, is specifically human for a reason. They are recruited from the province of Fruma to fight off the undead in the province of Wynn. Fruma is strictly human.

I think this is pretty nickpicky for something that has 0 effect on the game, but whatever, it's a suggestion.

As for the thread itself, the only thing defining how you look is your MC skin, so if ya' look like a guy that's not the game's fault. The player's race is human for lore reasons. Again, this has literally no effect on the gameplay, so this shouldn't be an issue.

Customizing this kind of thing is impossible anyway, beyond your MC skin, which you already control.

Oof I remember making a suggestion similar to this. It is quite annoying and strange how in some instances the player is defined as a specific gender or whatever. I still wish they viewed you as genderless/raceless, to improve immersion, but it's a small gripe I can deal with. The Wynn team have better issues to deal with and something so minor should be cast aside to maybe be looked at in a different time.

As well as before they couldn't tell as you were wearing a helmet to cover yourself... when you came back with the wig on, they assumed you were a woman. How are you supposed to tell through armor?

I don't think so. I did have a little theory that the player is Ragnar, but it's probably wrong. According to the lore, the player is one of many Fruman recruits.

There's actually a Detlas citizen, who, after completion of Maltic's Well, clearly says that you are not Ragnar. There are also a couple of NPCs (Nick and Maxie if I recall correctly) who refer to the player by their IGN. So yeah, this theory cannot be true.

Yeah, it didn't really take that into account. As I said, it was more of a thought whilst I was playing, but soon dismissed it. I fell like they could do that with the Ragni King in Kimgs Recruit, but I mean, it's fine as it is. He just says something about your name being odd, and sending you on your way.
