Website & Forums Merging "other Games" And "nemract's Bar" Into One Subtopic

Trust me, I know I'm quite the newbie and I haven't been here NEARLY as long enough to be handing out suggestions that might be crucial, however I have spent my fair share on a number of forums to know the pros and cons of certain elements.

I feel like a forum's excessive amount of subtopics may be its downfall - We have active thread creators however we also have people who are just browsing the forums to look and post their thoughts & feedback, opinions, stories, etc onto a post. However, with several subtopics I feel that may be a bit difficult to do.

I feel like the "Nemract's Bar" subforum could be merged with the "Other Games" subforum since both deal with something that's generally off-topic from the Wynncraft server itself. By merging these two, players (or "forumers" if you will) can navigate easier throughout the forums. It'll increase variety in this subforum as well as introduce a higher number of threads.

Inactive subforums tend to die off and therefore become overlooked by people who navigate these forums. So, if someone creates a thread that actually could be mildly interesting or somewhat important/controversial or something that could induce a good discussion-based thread, that thread could receive a lot less attention since it's essentially in a more inactive sub forum.

I know most of you would probably say that both subforums aren't that inactive, however both do deal with an off-topic category. As such, by merging these two threads, attention for threads of both alike could receive a lot more attention as players could look to one subforum instead of two to locate an interesting topic.

Sorry if my lack of time on this server makes me appear as someone who's opinions and ideas should be overlooked upon as I am inexperienced and unfamiliar with the way things work around here. I just feel that by contributing something here, I could improve something eventually

Jk, anyway its good to see a newcomer post actual constructive post and not just spams to get 10 posts ;/

That does look good on my point of view, however i'm probably too dumb to see a bad side, but yea, the fact that those might be a bit inactive and while merging them it might help get more people to come and see those sections

But maybe i'm just too dumb and merging those two topics will be a really bad idea, but as of how I see it rn, it looks good

 

The only downsides I see are counteracted by the fact that Other Games is a dead forum.

Yeah, imo the front page (Forum main page) looks a bit aggressive to the eyes with the amount of scrambled text and subforums all over the place. I feel like having a more constructed, cleaner forum page may help a lot of forum members as well as introduce new ones

 

Exactly yeah. By doing this it has the potential of reviving that dead forum
