    Hello evryone.
I am a returning player here in wynn, I played before Gavel was out and then quitted for a while and came back for the Gavel update then quitted agian.
But lately I had some more free time and I remembered there was this cool minecraft server I used to play in so here I am.
Here is some backround story, I know it's long but please bear with me, I think its importent.
First thing I did was checking out the map. I rememberd it was really esey to get lost in wynncraft and the map really helped me out back in my time.
The first thing I noticeed was diffrent was Corkus Island witch was for level 85... a long way away (I started a new character). And the second thing was the Seavale Reef.
At the start I didnt think mach of it, maybe a part of a new quest? but when I took the Seasail bout to Selchar, to get some send back to Datlas, the captain told my about a treasure he fond and shared some of it with me. To my surprise it wasnt emeralds as i hoped but a sunken treasure... gold.
I rememberd gold was the currency in Rymek but sunken treasure? odd.
A quick google told me there is a merchent at Selchar that will buy it for emeralds and when i talked to him i was shocked to find he buy pearls silver and diamonds too. Then there was a click in my head and i conected the merchent to the reef nearby.
MINOR SPOILER WORNING FOR THE QUEST: TEMPLE OF THE LEGENDS AND HUGE SPOLER FOR THE SEAVALE REEF ITSELF- if you want to check it out I highly recomend you do it before reading this, it is a grate experience and I dont want to spoil anything.
Unfortunately I havent visited the reef until the Temple of Legend quest.
As a part of the quest I hed to get a Coral of Nelfors from the Seavale Reef and while I grabbed my diving helmet from the bank I thought to myself "this is going to be hard- finding this coral between all the caves and the other obstacles that is probobly there, but at least I will get some treasure from it and maybe a cool find like a diamond or an artifact".
The reef looked amazing, coral and seaweed around some very cool underwater canyons and even a bady of a big, dead fish but other then that I was disappointed.
To my surprise I fond the coral in the first 2 min of the dive but decided to keep going, hoping to find somthing cool. I fond gold silver pearls and even some sellable coral(along side like 20 Corals of Nelfors) that was spred out across the reef mostly at the top of rocks and corals, not at the bottom like I expected.
The caves was disappointing as well. very small without any treasure spawning in there (it is spawning above the reef and fall down so anywhere there is a roof nothing spawn).
Coral was spawning in the open ocean gold was found on top of the corals... basically, it was a mass.

So... after all that here is my suggestions:
    1) Make long caves with no air pockets so you need the diving helmet to make it to the end and back. At the end, there should be a chance for a diamond or an artifact to spawn and along the way you can find gold and silver if it is a diamond cave, or pearls if its an artifact cave.
Ofcorse there should be some lower tear caves- shorter, with some air pockets with a small reword at the end.

    2) Wild life- I havent seen a reef with NO wild life, so i think some mobs are needed. That said i understand the reef needs to be a peacfull place to hunt treasure, so i suggest some passive mobs like fishs, sponges, crabs, starfish and so on. In addition to the pasive mob there should be some pasive agrasive mobs (attacked if provoked) like octopus, sea urchin, puffer fish and more. And the wild life shouldent be spred out but near there natural habitat (fish- at the top of the reef, star fish near the rocks, sponges floting about near the corals and so on).

    3) The coral of nalfors should to be changed- I understand that you need to find it somewhat esely but I dont think it should spawn anywhere, so here is 2 ideas- make a coral that stand out from the rest and make it spawn there, or change the name of the item to the "fin of nalfors" and make it spawn near the dead fish at the end of the reef, you can also give the fish some lore too [i really like that idea :)].

    4) Something extra- I dont know if that's posible, but if you can make some of the corals cactus so you can get hart when you try to reach for the treasure inside it.

In any case I think there is grate potential to the Seavail Reef and i hope you implament some of my ideas.
Sorry if i misspelled anything, English isnt my first language. :)

We can't put mobs there. They'll all swim up to the surface.

As for the items spawning on top of the reef most often, that's unfortunately not something I can really help without making the spawn rates way too high.

I have an idea for the coral, but it'll have to wait for awhile.

The cactus thing will look silly and also won't work, why would we even need it?

I understand about the mobs, its unfortunate, but I understand.
You really cant make the spawn location of the items lower? Or not randomly spawning all across the reef at least?
If you have an idea about the coral why wait?
And the cactus is to mimic the burning sensation when you touch a coral... although it might look a bit silly.

Those are basiclly my thought after finishing this past of the quest, and maybe other players too.
If you think of any other way to improve the reef I would love to hear about it beacuas i think it's not good enough and can be improved.

The way the item spawns work, is there's a few regions around that each have a chance to spawn a 0 health mob. When this 0 health mob spawns, it immediately drops its item. This is how things like the Light Dust cave or Aerolia cave work. Since there needs to be so many around there, the choices are either make a large, blanket region that covers most of the reef, or make a bunch of specific small regions. In order to make them spawn deeper down like you want, we'd need to use the smaller regions, but when I tried that it was spawning so many items that the server was lagging, and that means you'd probably be making way way way WAY too much off it, so I swapped it over to a few blanket regions and it worked much better.

I wait because there's more significant priorities than this idea.

Yeah, it would look silly, because firstly cactus looks different from the rest of the corals, secondly it doesn't take up a full block sideways, so the water would part around it, which would actually provide air pockets as well as looking rather silly, thirdly we really don't need any hazards except the potential for drowning in the reef. It's meant to be a very relaxed area.

And how does the rarer items spawn? Lower spawn rate on the mobs? In a spasific area?
Can you make only the rarer item spawn in small regions and lower thier spawn rate?

    That's non existent...

    What is a gravity stat?

    Without mods, impossible

    Wynn is still 1.8
Which means no levitation, = no floating downward

As far as I know, it's impossible to adjust a mobs gravity

That makes them float above blocks sure, but they'll still swim in water. They just won't bob up and down once they reach the surface.

What about underwater mobs like Guardians? I’m very surprised the CT hasn’t utilized them, especially since there is a boss version of them.

In fact, how come you guys haven’t added other mobs like rabbits? It seems like you guys haven’t added a new mob type since 1.4.

They're rather difficult to add, you're aware. Seeing as mobs are pretty much just skins+hitboxes thrown over generic AI types, having an aquatic mob type wouldn't help.
