I think that when you remove a powder from a piece of gear, instead of getting nothing, you get half of your powders back, rounded down .

This means that if you put a tier 4 powder on an item, and you take it off, you get a tier two powder back. Likewise, if you put a tier 2 or tier 3 powder on an item and take it off, you get a tier one powder back. Taking a tier 1 off results in nothing, taking a tier 5 off results in a tier 2, and taking a tier 6 off results in a tier 3.

Obviously, powders returned would be of the same element. If you like this post, try to raise some support to get it implemented into the game.

Honestly, this suggestion is somewhat Well explained and I think pepole have complained about this.
Are theese the correct "get this back" charts?
    T1>nothing
    T2>T1
    T3>T1
    T4>T2
    T5>T2
    T6>T3
Honestly its too low. A tier 5 is 64 tier 2 powders.
Here is my take on it:
    T1>nothing
    T2>2 T1
    T3>2 T2
    T4>2 T3
    T5> 2 T4
    T6> 2 T5
That way you get 50% back as with 4 powders of the same tier you can make 1 powder of the next tier
