Defense And Agility

So if I wanted to get minimum damage taken could have 100 points in defense and agility. Would that be effective? Because then I would have a 60% chance to completely take no damage from an attack, but if I do take damage it will be reduced by 60%, right?

 

Depends on your class.
If you're warrior you might wanna go for 147 def

 

Why 147? And the skill points cap at 100, without equipment.

 

Warrior can reach 100% reduced neutral dmg taken with warscream

 

You only need 114 defense, not 147

Though this is glitch abuse and not recommended

So what 114 defense does, is give you 70% reduction of neutral damage

Warrior has a base of 120% neutral damage, and war scream gives you 10% neutral damage reduction


These are supposed to be multiplicative (I believe), but they are additive instead, giving you 70+20+10=100% neutral damage reduction

 

War scream gives you 20% damage reduction

So how much would 100 defense points provide?

 

Maybe it's that, I don't remember exactly how it works, 114 is definitely the lowest for neutral reduction

100 defense is about 62.5% neutral reduction before accounting for everything else sooooooooo

 

So it would only take 100 skill points to be immune to damage.

 

It definitely takes 114. I don't know the exact formula that goes into it, and I should probably stop to avoid promoting glitch abuse. :P

 

Yeah, I would think there would be a cap, or the effects would be multiplied with each other instead of stacking.

Definition of glitch randomly found online: "The word glitch is usually used when an unintended game state is achievable, due to an unforeseen issue in the game's code. i.e., you are able to clip through the ground (or advance to a part of a quest that normally requires more objectives to be met) due to an error in the code."

I fail to see how this does not apply here.

also @ op, fire air is only good if you have remaining skill points to invest into dex and/or int because your damage will be too low and youll be able to use more glassy items

 

Wait does the warrior's natural defense boost reduce elemental damage too?

And does the war cry boost reduce elemental damage?
