Ice Snake Spell Replacement?

Now, this may or may not be the case with other players, (so please vote in the poll), but I rarely use the ice snake spell. It doesn't do enough damage compared to the meteor spell, and slowing enemies isn't that important to me.

New spell ideas:
(I'm terrible at balancing, but I got some rough ideas)

-'Mage's Fury' spell

Damage is doubled for 5 seconds, with walk speed decreased by 25%, costing 6 hunger.
At level 46, 5 hunger, and double damage for 7 seconds.
Level 66 would have 4 hunger, and walk speed decreased by only 15%.

-'Wind Gust' spell

Knocks-back enemies if front of you by about 4 blocks and deals 60% damage, costing 6 hunger.
At level 46, 5 hunger, and deals 70% damage.
And level 66, 4 hunger, and knocking-back enemies all around you.​

Trust me, you'll want to use ice snake a lot more in the future when you get the last upgrade for it.
Just as a friendly reminder, you want to get a class to level 100 before you suggest to buff it, nerf it, or suggest a replacement spell for it.

 

Firstly, that would be very OP. With a spell spam build, you could easily cast this and then rain down four or five double-damage meteors and be ready to cast it again. Perhaps it could only affect melee damage? Also, this doesn't seem to fit the idea of a mage, probably being more of an assassin or warrior spell. Also, this seems very similar to the Courage powder special. Also, all current spell upgrades add something new to the spell instead of simply buffing it. For example, with Escape, tier 2 adds speed boost and tier 3 adds damage and faster falling.

This is just Wind Prison (air powder weapon special), but worse.

Ice snake is very useful in its slowing ability. This gives it many uses, especially against fast-moving melee attackers. I wouldn't say it's the most useful spell as Heal means you can very easily stay alive if you have enough mana, and without Meteor you'd struggle to do any meaningful amount of damage, but it's a great utility spell. You can use it to keep things in place so your meteors hit, run away without being chased, stop certain mobs from being able to touch you at all and keep a load of mobs in a group to take them out together. The damage isn't great, but it's about as much a damage spell as Teleport.

Ice snake was literally made for utility. It stops movement and then slows significantly all while dealing decent damage (considering what it was designed for) and costing very little mana.

Also, double damage...? what.

 

at level 100, its really nice.
a level 44, its not very nice.
you'll start to love it when you level up

no ice snake is already a great spell, why would we want to replace it
the last ability is also very op, you should try getting it.

 

I literally just unlocked the spell and I like it, especially when you face faster opponents. I would say add rather than replace, though your suggested spells are not something I personally think I would enjoy.

Ice Bear thinks cow is an acronym for Corrupter of Worlds. Ice Bear would never replace Ice Snake.

To be honest the spell that needs replacing is Heal; Ice snake works incredibly well with meteor, especially on fast targets
