A Female/child Villager Skin

At the moment, every villager is either bald or is a professional in magic. I think it would be cool to add some women/child villagers, or perhaps a young man to add to the variety to the population. It seems weird to see a bald child or woman wandering about... and every man is bald too xD.

It's only like 3 skins, not too much.

 

Still, i don't think it would be something that they should spend there time on since it's does not give some gameplay feature.

DID YOU JUST ASSUME THE VILLAGER POPULATION'S GENDER?

 

I think it's safe to assume that villagers just don't grow hair on their heads. However, the number of villager skins is very limited - they just reskin all of the vanilla professions for villagers (Cleric, Librarian, Farmer, etc.). It would be impossible to add a new one without deleting an old one. Are there any that you consider to be unnecessary?

There's also a theory that all villagers are the same sex, and that they have a different system of reproduction. Some evidence for this is that Jack is always called the son of Charlie and Dave, and they never hint that he might be adopted. However, there are villagers who are female and referred to as 'she' (not that many though). These include Tiek, Dawm (from Shattered Minds), and Sasha (the apothecary from Finding the Light).

A possible explanation if we include my theory of the original language of the Villagers being French, is that Gavellian French has no genders for people. When the masses of Gavel adopted the Wynnic English, they had to choose between 'he' and 'she' for all villagers. Since they, on the whole, look more like human men, most chose to use 'he', but there are exceptions, and due to contact with humans, neither has been standardised.

 

There is acctually still ONE villager that is unused but its a rather new one. From 1.11 i think the generic/nitwit villager
but we would have to wait for it to be updated to 1.11 (or whatever version they came in, maybe 1.12?)
Also evoker/vindicator skins could be used as villagers (illusioner too (there all illagers))


dunno about adding female skins tho, as we would have to wait a while for a new skin to be available

Well gee if they only cared about gameplay features all the wands would still be vanilla minecraft sticks.

 

The variety and realism may be a factor, but i don't think that wynncraft would get the guy who created the texture/ressourcepack back on the team just to create female villagers.
Simply said i think it would take too much time for next to no reward since villagers are for the most part just something that you pass by.

I do care about other stuff than gameplay, but i think that wynncraft should focus more on the gameplay side of things since that it is lacking atm, but it would be a nice realism feature but i don't really think it would be worth the time and effort to make it look good.

 

It's not hard to edit the resource pack, you just need the designs, Jumla should be able to do this with both hands tied behind his back and no coffee.

 

Actually, in troms, there's a small club of three kids, which a specified as kids in a quest.
