Discussion in 'General Suggestions' started by WhirlwindWar, Jun 24, 2017.

?

Is this a good idea?

  1. Yes!

  2. Yes, but I think there should be some kind of further confirmation.

  3. Yes, but there should be less confirmation.

  4. I'm on the fence.

  5. No, this is not necessary. The wait time is fine as it is.

Many people get very annoyed at having to wait for the large number of days to delete a high level class. I believe I have found a way to fix this.

The way this would work is by first right clicking the class, which would bring up a GUI saying "Are you sure you would like to delete this class?" If you click yes, it brings you to another GUI which says "Would you like to wait [insert length of time] for your class to be deleted or would you like to delete it quickly?" Then if you click the button saying delete it quickly, you would be brought into the class to check the inventory and would be presented with a title (those things that appear in the middle of your screen) which says "If you would like to delete your [insert type of class here along with the level], then please type 'CONFIRM' in chat. Then, once it is confirmed, you will be brought back to your class selection and told that your class will now take five minutes to delete and that you can right click it again to cancel, but left clicking it will not play the class or cancel.

Please let me know what you think of this idea! I know that there's no screenshots or anything to show what the GUI would look like, but I believe that the above paragraph explains it quite well. I think that this idea would make deleting classes a much more enjoyable process, without having too much risk of deleting the wrong class unless you're really not paying attention at all.

Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, the current wait time to delete a level 100 class is 23 days, 17 hours, and 24 minutes.

With the showing your inventory thing, I think that you need to wait at least 5 minutes while looking at your inventory before you confirm.

The reason why the delete time is there is to prevent you or someone else accidentally deleting your classes.
    Up the timer and sure

Sorry for the late response, guys. I had a family thing yesterday. And since a considerable amount of people seem to want further confirmation, I'll add in some more details but we should wait on more replies. How about making the person stay in their inventory for around a minute so we know they're paying attention? Also, @Pokextreme how would someone else accidentally delete your class? xD

Who would choose to wait? It makes no sense unless there's some kind of a cost to having it instant. You could add this, and it could even negate the next point I'm making

You get an enormous amount of LE you can get by just speedrunning all the quests. That could get rather out of hand and you'd get people going to level 98 just to do all the high reward quests and and saving the LE to spend on mythics, levelling with CSST, then deleting the class and doing it again. It would give you around two stacks a time, and would ruin the economy more. The system of waiting makes this not very viable, as you can't do it very often, but with instant deletion of classes I can see this as a big problem. Waiting is a good, balancing feature.

I actually disagree because it takes a very long time to get to level 100 and you do need to buy stuff along the way, although I didn't think of that. TBH one month wait time doesn't really make a difference, people still break the economy, just slower. You have a good point about people having a choice to wait or not but some people like the feel of waiting for the same reason some people like using the classic shop in eggwars. It's nostalgic. I just thought I'd add the option in case anyone wanted it.

I meant what if you had a friend trying it out in your account, and they rightclicked without you noticing

Or if you had an angry sibling that wanted to get revenge by deleting your account

I agree that it shouldn't be a month, but maybe ~3 days per lv 100

If you play it how it's intended to be played, yes. However, rushing to level 100 doesn't take nearly as long as you'd expect, and a lot of quests are extremely fast if you just race through them and know exactly where to go. People would exploit this.
It does make a difference. You expect there to be ways to acquire currency, but all of them need to be balanced so they work at comparable rates. Making a method many times more efficient than it is already makes it far faster to acquire the currency, meaning that the rate at which they're made and the rate at which they go into money sinks (in the case of Wynncraft, approximately 0) get even more out of balance, thus ruining the economy even more.
Totally unnecessary, as you could just wait a month before starting a new class and it would have the same effect.
Don't let your angry sibling on your Minecraft account. It's not really the server's problem, your account is your responsibility and really it shouldn't be that difficult to protect it.
Uhh.. what are the chances of that happening? Your friend can easily get their own account - it's not hard. I doubt that anyone would let a friend on their account on a free game, and if you do, it's sort of your own problem. Anyway, wouldn't it be much simpler to add a more secure confirmation system, such as having to type something in order to confirm deletion?

I do see your point here, I'll think on it.

If this gets added and you don't like the feature, you don't have to use it, hence the term "option" lol

i mean you dont need to select wait
this could just be the new system all together
it would be nice to be able to delete it quickly and have it check your inventory for stuff
but if there still is a wait option, that would sorta not make sense for low levels
level 1 or so takes 2 minutes, so why wait 5 for a lower level class
make it so like lvl 5 and under are just instant.
but its a nice idea +1 thing
