    Im having the sense that Frum a might be something like a heavy communist or fascist province, forcing people to stay in or face death, and force people against their will to join the army or making people seek refuge to a nearby province.

    While it does conflict with the lore a bit, I honestly don't care.

    I think that the classes should have 1 backstory, as it would be easier then to make 1 quest about the character's backstory rather than 4 (I mean.. there has to be a quest about that in Fruma, right? Right?). The backstory would be similar to the warrior's: All 4 classes were defending a citadel (maybe the main gate of Fruma or something). It wouldn't make sense for it to burn down or something as such a thing really wouldn't happen in Fruma (based on what we know so far). So maybe a person in charge of the recruits saw the 4 classes' potential and released them from service at this citadel/garrison/fort/whatever. Thus, the opening shot is one out of the back of a wagon, the character looking back at the citadel which they just left.
    I like this.
    I feel like it should come after the 1 backstory shot, and after you're given a wide view of the caravan (there would be other wagons, as people tell you that other recruits have come before you). Maybe a shot of some recruits getting off, and their respective wagons leaving back into Fruma. When we get to 1st person view, a blindness effect is lifted (the same effect happens after you use a teleport scroll). The caravan driver says something like: "Wow, you slept through that whole journey!" or something. The cutscene would end and the game would start.
    After you do it once, there has to be an option to skip the cutscene.

    I think its good but you start off in a picking area first where you pick something. After that each class will have their own starting scene. The mage could turn to see their friends dying and use a wand to teleport away.

    Assassin could be free running across a platform

    Warrior could be fighting a lot of monsters and see more coming. He then turns around and flees

    The archer could be sniping off mobs in the distance and watches her/his forest burst in flames, he leaps down into a cliff and disappears

    Just something to add on!

    Yeah, as I said in the thread, the actual animations are completely in the admins control. What I had were just suggestions for the animations (I also realize they're pretty bad :-:)

    while over all its ok, the back story idea is kinda bad. first, off its just bad game design to give a back story to a RPG character at all. the entire point of rpgs is to play the character you wish to play as. forcing a back story like this in rpg a is a large mistake as players can't make their own back stories for their characters. if you want examples to look at something like new vegas, which gives no context for your player beyond there a carrier and they were shot in the head. or Skyrim, you got caught crossing the border. that's it. in those games it doesn't force you to be any one character and you can choose who they are, an example in Skyrim maybe I want to be a rich snobby person who ran away from home, because my parents ignore me, I can do that, it's fine nothing is stopping me from saying I am.
    also if the main story is about your back story, again it's a big game design flaw.
