Floating Island Lore Idea

You knew this was going to happen, you literally predicted it. You can't turn around and say "i don't want your criticism." And it doesn't matter how small your idea is, a shit idea is a shit idea. It's general suggestions, not "random rants." My original effort was minimal. The stupid arguments that came after were hardly still me criticizing the thread.

This section exists to be critiqued. If you don't like criticism, not even constructive criticism, then you shouldn't have posted here and you really shouldn't have claimed to be expecting and not caring anyway.

 

So what you said about "not everything having a backstory" wasn't trying to shut down the idea? Because you gave no effort to help, just shutting the idea down. Criticism is telling the creator what can be fixed, not saying that the idea should never be used.

And your quote about saying that I'm stupid was in reference to this idea already being a thing, not saying I'm stupid just for having the idea.

Why shouldn't everything have lore? Wynncraft is built on everything being detailed, from architecture to people. I don't understand why it's such a big deal to people that something shouldn't have lore! Could someone please explain why people are so against some small thing?

 

That's not what people were trying to point out.
We don't care about this island.
What people are critiquing this thread for is giving some things lore that are almost completely and entirely useless.
And like some people said, there are some places that deserve lore more than the tiny island that nobody travels to but low level Underwater players.

I still don't understand why this is a feeling for some players. Why not have this Easter Egg? Who cares if it is useless, most Easter Eggs are!

Try to explore the forum a bit before trying to enter a debate, you will see that a lot of tiny things got a lore on Wynncraft. Peoples who are answering here just want to be rude.

 

At least they've given this thread a lot of publicity! My idea has been in the limelight, which is good for all ideas, I guess. :D

I personally like lore, I like the filler lore you can find all over the map, but that island is so small and not connected to anything that adding lore will feel forced unless things are added in game

 

You aren't sure a wybel brought it back from the sky islands?

 

Then expand on it! Put ideas for Lore connected to this out there! A Minecraft world is infinite, just as the capacity for new ideas. Also, why does size matter when it's just some small fact?

 

If you look at the other filler lore it's mostly small and doesn't have an official backstory but it let's the players find out by themselves. It's a ruined encampment site with blood leading to a cave with skulls or a grave with flowers on it. They each tell a small story without words.

My point is that you're giving too much lore to a small place and doing it through words

 

It's not that much, just that it started the whole ocean.

 

Talking Mushroom, is at one place, used for a quest, just say a random dialog during the quest.

Now he got more than 30 dialogs around the map.

The law of conservation of energy and mass states that "mass or energy cannot be created or destroyed". So, the question is, where is this water coming from?

Another question is why is the island floating if there is no crystal influencing it to float, due to 1000 meters below stating that a crystal might be the cause of the floating islands. And since there are barely any floating islands past the ocean, how can it influence an object so diatant?

And how were the sky islands even formed, where did the small sky island come from, how was it created
