There's this massive gap between the regeneration capabilities of Mages and other classes. Mage can easily heal themselves and others while the latter relied on their Health Regen and Potions. This suggestion is intended to close that gap.

I suggest a total rework of the % Health Regen ID in the form of a completely new game mechanic: Accelerated Rejuvenation. In short, this is an 'ability' of players that allows them to convert Mana into Health outside of battle.

Players can shift to start the Rejuvenation process. When the player shifts, a note block sound is played and their Action Bar (the HUD above Health and Hunger where the player's Spring Bar and Powder Special etc. appears) will turn into a Rejuvenation Bar. However, it cannot be used if any hostile mobs exist within 32 blocks of the player.

The player can still cast their Powder Specials during the charge-up.

It could look something like this:

    Rejuvenation | ❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣ |

The 10 Characters start out as light gray, but start filling up to dark blue over time:

    Rejuvenation | ❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣ |

It should take around 5 seconds for the bar to completely fill. Once it's filled, the player enters Rejuvenation Mode.

    | Rejuvenation Mode |

The player exits Rejuvenation Mode when any of those conditions are met:

    • The player takes damage (even if 0)
    • The player's Agility activates
    • The player performs a melee attack
    • The player begins to cast a spell
    • The player activates their Powder Special
    • The player spawns a horse
    • The player uses a Teleportation Scroll
    • The player initiates a Trade or Duel
    • The player moves or jumps
    • The player drinks a potion
    • The player drops their held item
    • The player's health becomes 100%
    • The player stops crouching
    • The player runs out of Mana
When any of these happen, the player is met with a 'Your rejuvenation was disrupted' subtitle popup.

While in Rejuvenation Mode, the user's Player Effect particles disappear and is instead replaced with a steady stream of heart particles above their head.

Here's where % Health Regen comes in. The player usually regenerates 3% of their health each second while in Rejuvenation Mode (in addition to their natural Health Regen and raw Health Regen), but that number is proportionally increased by their % Health Regen. The player's Mana also decreases at the rate of 1 every second. Mana cannot regenerate in Rejuvenation Mode (this does mean the player only gets to regenerate 60% of their health with a full Mana bar at the beginning of the Rejuvenation process, meaning they have to take a short break for their Mana to regenerate outside of Rejuvenation Mode before continuing should they require further healing).

If the player has +35% Health Regen, they would regenerate 3% * 1.35 = 4.05% of their health each second. If the player has relatively low HP, the delay between heals will be extended to compensate.

For example, if the player has only 15 max HP with +2% Health Regen, they would regenerate 3% * 1.02 * 15 = 0.459HP each second, which is then dilated to 1HP every 2.18 seconds.

With Amulet of Rejuvenation (+2000% Health Regen), the player is able to regenerate 60% of their HP each second. However note that this requires the player to replace their current Necklace and stand still for around 6 to 7 seconds, which is extremely inconvenient in normal circumstances.

This does, however, make Amulet of Rejuvenation a niche Necklace that can be equipped between boss fights without the need for Potions.

What a wall of text lmao.

That was a rumor. It actually boosts your base Health Regen, which scales down the higher HP you have, making it only really useful when you're almost dead.

Amulet of Rejuvenation currently heals like half your total HP at once when you have 1HP remaining, then continues to do absolutely nothing.

Nice idea, but maybe change the word 'Rejuvenation' to 'Regeneration' or 'Healing?' Some people may not know the meaning of the word

I don't think the word really matters...

Anyways, I support. This would be really nice. Potions would still be useful for combat, and this is nice if you don't want to run across the map to the nearest town to get a potion to heal before a boss fight, etc.

This is a great idea, although maybe just make it unlock at say level 16, so that it is not another feature to confuse new players.

Well tickle me pink, this wall of text actually isn't that bad. The limitations are very well balanced, and the concept helps balance the game itself.

In fact, I can't find any flaws. Well, except one; what happens if you've got high mana regen? Would you be able to heal for longer? Or would mana regen be disabled?

Honestly, this is a damn good suggestion. Good job.

Thanks for the support. As for the Mana Regen problem, I addressed that in the post:

"Mana cannot regenerate in Rejuvenation Mode (this does mean the player only gets to regenerate 60% of their health with a full Mana bar at the beginning of the Rejuvenation process, meaning they have to take a short break for their Mana to regenerate outside of Rejuvenation Mode before continuing should they require further healing)."

If a player has high Mana Regen, it does mean that they can regenerate their Mana quicker after exiting Rejuvenation mode, allowing them to initiate it again without having to wait as long as having lower Mana Regen, so it's still a benefit to the mechanic.

I imagine this would be called Meditation (you apply Mana and focus in a calm environment to work towards spiritual regeneration) but +1.

If the thing you said about having a 32 minimal block radius is true, then switching out with the Amulet of Rejuvenation won't do anything since the boss will still be within range, most boss arenas are small.

Other than that, this seems like a great concept for a RPG server, and tbh it sorta reminds me of Hearthing in Heroes of The Storm without the teleporting.
