World Bind Spell To Offhand

In 1.9, the new offhand was added. At the moment, this serves no purpose in the land of Wynn.
My suggestion is that, for 1.9 players and above, the move item to offhand slot allows them to quickly cast a spell which they choose.
Perhaps this could unlock at say level 26, or maybe with a quest of some kind.
For me, this would be Mage's heal, as in bossfights it is a massive pain to do the finicky R-L-R, especially with the slightly dodgy hit detection (probably my connection).

EDIT: Why has this become another shouting match about 1.9 pvp - feels like Shotbow forums all over again.

 

Afaik we can't detect that

 

1: We can't detect offhand.
2: We're not fully updated to 1.9 yet.
3: Git gud.

 

1: Surely we can detect offhand - it is just another inventory slot, and the client tells the server that it has tried to use offhand.
2: That's why I said for 1.9 players only, and the server does not need to send packets to any other clients concerning the offhand.
3:But it's much easier to try and suggest an improvement

Surely we want to fully support 1.9+ more than 1.8, as this is the old version and more players will play on 1.11.2 (or 1.12 in like a week).

 

We will update to a newer version when we are ready. Updating to a newer minecraft version will result in bugs in the game, and they must be squashed before fully updating

 

Do you think this could be added when we are ready to stop supporting 1.8?

 

Pretty sure one of the reasons for that is 1.9 lel so just go play 1.8.9 its bae anyways x)

Wow what an update, ugly blocks and parrots that do nothing, just like the combat update. It was made for people who don't do combat

 

Plus vanilla mods, and the concrete blocks are good for a modern theme (looking at you Llevigar)

 

First of all, what's wrong with Llevigar? The only 2 good things are concrete and recipes for vanilla "mods". Also have you heard about "script kiddies"? Look at the minecraft site. Amazing right?

 

Then stop playing 1.8

This is a nice idea in my opinion, I'd definitely be binding spells to it if it existed as I play on a trackpad and it's awkward to do the combos.

Not sure how important it would be in general, perhaps the offhand could be used for something else eventually, but I like this idea.

 

Nothing wrong with Llevigar, more that it is an example of a modern build.
Maybe "fact" check first - custom recipes aren't being added in 1.12, has been delayed due to complications to 1.13. Whereas with the new /function command almost anything is possible without a single command block.
Erm. What on earth does '"script kiddies"' have to do with it, and why is a set of skins important in this debate. I believe the point is of suggestions is that there ISN'T already the code for this within wynncraft, not "uses existing computer scripts or codes to hack into computers, lacking the expertise to write their own.". Also, when was this hacking? Your comments make no sense. Perhaps some constructive criticism, not just using this as ANOTHER excuse to complain about 1.9 combat (especially as there is no vanilla combat in Wynncraft, unless you were not careful enough to notice that in your time playing)

 

The reason we can't use offhand is that to use offhand you use either a right or left click.
If you have a weapon it will trigger a spell or melee
If you don't have a weapon you are doing something wrong

Offhand is in controls, under inventory, by default it is F, not Button 1 Or Button 2

1.9 was one of the biggest updates in all of minecraft history are you high

Anyways, this idea is actually pretty good, but I believe someone said that there are already plans with the offhand
Each time a new minecraft update comes out, they check what they can do with it
1.12 may add pretty neat wynncraft advancements, that'd be awesome (in 2020 or something)

 

lol I remember when my friend told me they were gonna add parrots in 1,5 and I was disappointed that there werent any when I went to the jungle after the update LUL
