Well without the resource packs it would be strange holding a stone slab so it would be necessary.

I was referring to the people who prefer to not use the resourcepack, whether it's for the looks or less framerate lag. I especially disable the resourcepack whenever I enter guild wars because if you didn't know, the resourcepack reloads every time I enter one. Not to mention, my computer is a casual computer, so it takes about 15 seconds to load the pack, while in the meantime I'm being killed by the enemy's mobs. Lastly, sometimes I get disconnected from the server if the pack does not load quick enough; I encounter this problem at least 25% of the time.
