Mod Team Feedback

Hello!

I decided earlier today that getting feedback on the Mod team is something that would be nice.

What I basically want to know is how are we doing as a team, are there any improvements that we can make or is there anything that isn't that great.
If you have personal beef with someone on the team please don't share it here, instead message me about it.



Other thing, let me know how I am doing as the community manager as well, if I am steering the mods in the right direction or how the events/twitter/other stuff is.

I decided to keep it simple.

Well I can't always do events all the time, I've still got real life stuff to do as well.

 

Lets just say that I don't really know what the mods do these days, I'm assuming getting spam tagged on discord is one of them?

 

Hey, mod team! You have done decent things as, banning hackers, answering someone's question in question section.

Also, I want to say thanks to few people in this team

Pretz- Thanks for organizing the hide and seeks in corkus, that was so fun! Maybe, that we can have one again?

Helh- Through, I hasn't tried your killing the boss service, I must say that I'm pretty impressed with how the things goes with the service.

Selvut- Good bunny, you have done nice jobs to make changes to many items and as for item contest, I think that's cool idea.

and finally but not least,

Motoki- as for your damage calculator, its great idea to use and I hasn't tried it, but will possible in future.

 

I don't see any hackers unlike servers like hypixel so you guys are doing great! There's just one thing, all events happen at American times so people in Europe or Australia like me can't go because they're at about 1AM

 

I don't have any thing negative to say or have any change ideas so ill just say this; Everybody and every thing is great! Keep up good work pretz! :D

 

Everything's nice, but I tend to see bad things happening when the moderators are not online like someone swearing at another, spamming crazily, or something along the lines. It's probably best to have at least one moderator active on the server most of the time.

 

I don't see as many hackers flying around so you're doing great.

About the events I am too busy to participate but I guess you can appoint another mod to help you with the events.

The mod team is bad and should be replaced by a team of hackers. On a more serious note, Wynn is an amazing server with very little hackers and that is all due to the amazing mod team. I haven't seen a single bad mod (while I've been here) all of them are amazing at their job and I hope to continue seeing them making this server an amazing place

 

In-game, I can't comment on that, tho I'd like to give a few thoughts on mods forum-wise. This is just my opinion.

• Less robotic-like answers. What I mean is, when you reply to someone, reply with compassion, concern, show you are meaning well and not just trying to post things as quickly as possible. For example, someone asked about a specific gear he/she should not possess. Instead of getting half-detailed explanation as to why he/she shouldn't have it, mod replied with "throw it away". No explanation, compassion, nothing. It isn't too hard to write "That item is vanilla item, owning it against the rules. I'm afraid you'll have to throw it away." See the difference? Or, feel the difference!? Moe is fantastic example of how I like a mod to reply. He is showing character, charisma and how he is actually meaning well. Not saying he is the only one, but 1st one that comes to mind.
• Stricter policy on "tl;dr" and "no refund policy" posts. Like, delete them, that's all. Let me write down examples as to why I think those kind of posts should be deleted.
  • Tl;dr is usually found in those longer threads. Whoever wrote the long post, put the time and effort into it. Going into the thread, realizing it's too long for you is fine, however, spamming it with tl;dr is a direct slap to the face to those who want a serious discussion and it's disrespectful. This isn't 9gag. 99% of the threads here are short ones, if you are not feeling like reading a long post, that's fine, but please, don't spam it, go somewhere else and leave the discussion to those who are willing to participate.
  • Someone just lost his white horse. You don't have to post "no refund" as quickly as possible. Again, show compassion, writing "I'm so sorry, but wynncraft isn't refunding items" isn't that much more difficult but leaves a better impression.
• Admins to more frequently reply to threads. Not sure if this counts as a mod team, but I'll write it down anyways. It's always nice to see an official stance from the Admins about certain things.

I think those 3 are the main "beefs" I have at the moment. Nothing drastic nor do I mind them too much.
Tho, even ignoring them wouldn't be disastrous as a mod team, in general, is doing a great job. Quality has drastically improved since I joined and I'm extremely pleased to see several mods directly participating in game-mechanics discussions and that we finally have a community manager.

No other mod team is as corrupt as you.

As for ingame moderating, the team is doing a great job at least for what I can see. Never have I ever seen a hacker during the long years I've played wynn.

And for forums, the moderating might be a tad bit too harsh. Let a man have his dank memes!

 

I think you guys need more people in the Asia/Oceania timezone. There are alot of moderators belonging in America and Europe timezones(to suit the majority of the playerbase) as compared to the other side of the planet. The only mods that are online in the Eastern timezones I could think of are Dodo and motoki1.

Other than that, great job! Keep up the good work :)
