Guilds Housing

What about adding housing into Wynn?I could be like a guild hangout place where the player can build his/her own house.It would be really fun since Minecraft,at core,is about building so adding this would really make the server more enjoyable.It don't know how hard this is to achieve since I don't know anything about makin servers but I still think it would be a good idea adding something like this into the server ;)

 

Sorry, but yeah i kinda agree with @Kysreach, wynncraft is an rpg server and the whole point of it is to explore the premade world that has everything laid out for you with a story. being able to build would not work very well. at all. lol

 

we dont want wynn to spend 10 times more money on a feature that wont take any benefits.

Why wont it take benefits?
lets see, how will we make money from housing for save that 10 times the money we would lose with the house servers?
you may say: "But hypixel or any other server is fine with it!" well, here is what lets hypixel use housing:
Hypixel has a 15k player base, which would result in A LOT bigger donations per month, while wynn has only 1k,that results in a lot less donations, how do you expect us to handle like another 250 (i dont think more than that will be in housing at same time) servers at same time from houses if they already use a lot of money for the other 20-45 servers?
Also... how will we make money from it? we will make people pay for bigger plots or what? im not sure i would ensure this is against the EULA, correct me if im wrong.

Yeah im comparing with a server, but one that shows why the suggestion would send wynn to the ruin

 

Now I know how much you all hate housing suggestions, but that doesn't mean you all can just go making useless posts. Please refer to this guide for making helpful/relevant posts to the topic of a general suggestions thread.

Because you give an actual reason why a housing system wouldn't work, if somewhat rudely.

 

Well here is the thing, housing doesn't fit in with the lore of wynn. We are recruits from Fruma fighting for Corruption, constantly travelling between towns and provinces. We would not have time to settle down. If this would be a seperate server, it would cost the server more money. It would probably not earn back all of this money (in a considerable amount of time). Also 5-10% of the current playerbase would shift to housing, giving the main purpose (RPG) less value. The positive would be at best a 10% increase. So in short:
The positives:

• A slight increase in players

The Negatives

• High cost, low profit
• Precious time
• Doesn't make sense lore-wise
• More lag

By the way, if suggesting something, put detail into it. This section is General Suggestions and not General Ideas. With more detail the community might like it a little bit more. Not alot, because it still has the high amount of downsides.

Sorry, no. This thread lacks everything required for a good suggestion.

Your one good point is that Minecraft is about building; unfortunately, Wynncraft is a completely different game. The one similarity they share is visuals, and at this point that's only in the blocky style.

There are so many issues with housing that there's likely never going to be a housing suggestion that works in Wynn. Sometimes I wish there was, so I could point people to it instead of having to explain when they make huge threads with bigger flaws. Point is, housing just won't work in Wynn.

I won't go in to every reason here, but one big issue with this one in particular; proper building. Minecraft will always, always have trolls and assholes, or people with terrible sense in building. Arguments and frustration would happen constantly. Basically, it'd only decrease the quality of life in the game, and this type of housing serves no reason in particular. If you want to build things, go to a build server. Not an MMORPG.

Thanks for not making a 12-paragraph suggestion on housing, but it's still not a good idea.

 

If you have been on the forums for a certain amount of time, you will know that housing is one of the most hated suggestions in Wynncraft.
