World New Cosmetic Feature Idea

Ahem.. Hey Y'ALL!

Alright, you know how there is the VIP reskins of the classes? Yes? No?
(in case you didn't know, the VIP Rank reskins are just different names and looks for spells used in different classes, for instance, Mage: Meteor spell | VIP Mage is called a "Dark Wizard" and it replaces meteor with "Dead Star" and has different particles.)
Anyways, I think that there should be reskins for all classes that players can earn in treasure chests as a cosmetic.
It doesn't change the amount of damage or element of the type of weapon you have, but it's just like the VIP reskins only, without the VIP rank and you earn it with treasure chests.
The first type of Reskin I had in mind was a "Corkus" or "Steampunk" reskin with attacks that are industrial themed. Such as the Assassin's spin attack, with this cosmetic is gets changed to "Gear Spin" or "Cog Spin" or the Mages Ice Snake, which can be renamed to "Conveyor Belt", or the Mages Heal could be renamed to "Electromagical Rebuild"
And for those who were wondering, once you get your hands on one of these cosmetics, you just have to apply it in the menu and you don't have to make a new class for this to show up.
Another type of reskin could be a Shadow-ish type with darkness themed names or elemental themes like Fire and Water which would be common and the more unique type reskins (Steampunk reskin) could be rare or epic depending on how cool it looks
I haven't come up with names for these reskins for other classes such as the Warrior, but I bet the community would come up with some AMAZING ideas for this one.
It would be greatly appreciated if I could get this thread to the front page and get it even more noticed for this to maybe eventually become a reality. (seriously, it would mean my heart and soul if this became a feature)

Adding rank features as cosmetics isn't a good idea and never will be, unless the EULA forces such.

 

Well, maybe rank-less players won't ever see this in chests unless they have a rank, so maybe that could work?

 

He is saying to add reskins as cosmetics, but not the ones already in VIP/+ (I'm guessing based on the suggestion of a Corkus/Steampunk reskin)

I understand that, but class reskins in general is a "cosmetic" feature that was created for donors. It's not exactly fair to those who donated for free users to get the equivalent of what they paid for. Especially when VIP already has so few things.

 

I'm trying to say that players with no rank will never see it in their chests and players with a rank have a chance to obtain it in their chests

 

Why Salted doesn't remove EULA?

You can say that to this and all the other cosmetics people previously suggested. The cosmetics don't serve a purpose in gameplay but just for our entertainment. I came up with this to make the reskin feature as it is more... of a thing basically.

 

Why work more, for the same amount of money?

they're earned in the cosmetic loot chests, which apart from the free MONTHLY crate thing, you don't get for free. so it's for donators, unless I'm missing something.

I actually really love the idea, reskins as godly rewards. This would be neat. It shouldn't add any class slots (even though we need moar), and then that'll make it fair and eula-friendly and stuff
if only vips got weekly crates

 

oh my god this idea is great, i would love a steampunk/electromagic themed class, which in this case would be possible with cosmetics. as long as it complys with the eula and doesn't give you extra benefits and completely cosmetic side, i think this idea would be great

 

idek what EULA is, just that haves a lot of restrictions, then why Salted don't remove it?

 

...mojang made the eula, not salted, and the server has to follow the eula's terms if they want to keep the server up
