World Vanish Spell Quality Of Life Changes

    So, the vanish spell is really outdated, not to say the second grade is a poor excuse for a spell, and I want to suggest some quality of life changes and a rework for the second grade

    Right now, it is:
    Grade 1 (Lv.11)
    • Hunger: 4
    • Cost/Second:1
    Grade 2 (Lv.26)
    • Hunger: 3
    • Cost/Second: 1
    • + Stealth, 30% damage bonus while vanished and 15% defense bonus - This has lots of problems, probably cause it's USELESS, first off, it works on potions, it should not, it should give you stats, I know this isn't that hard because Stat Potions are already a thing, so, it would change to this:
    • + Stealth, next basic attack deals 30% Bonus Thunder Damage, up to 50% if the enemy attacked is lower health then the assassin who is attacking - This is very subject to change as I'm no pro with numbers inside of wynncraft. I'm removing the resistance bonus because it's useless, it's useless with negative effects over time because there are almost none and Spin Attack cleans them, also, enemies don't attack him while invisible so you can probably see why I'm suggesting this change, in compensation, I'm giving him some bonus damage against lower health targets to encourage stealth play
    Grade 3 (Lv.46)
    • Hunger: 2
    • Cost/Second: 1
    • + Shadow Travel, gives speed and jump boost while vanished - I'm not gonna argue a lot with this as it's fine the way it is, but, I'm gonna suggest one thing: 60% Walk Speed instead of Speed 3, they do the same, but walk speed doesn't affect FOV

    I would also want to add that it would be nice to see the cost of spells reducing the ammount of mana consumed per second but that would probably need some changes to the initial mana cost and that's not why I posted this, but I may change that later

    why did you quote your own post within your own post. also, i believe the mana a second cost is so that people would be forced to do something, and not just lag around vanished constantly

    1 per second also makes vanish pretty useless compared to the other mobility spells. In nether pvp, I hardly ever use vanish now because it takes up so much mana I can use for other spells. If I vanish and run to a guy, chances are that I can only melee attack him, which is pretty useless. An just because you're invisible doesn't mean it gives a tremendous advantage. You can only be invisible for a short time, and you'd only use it close up in offence, where it's easy to predict movement and counter the vanish easily. Or the other classes can just use their escape spell. The short range and vanish duration mean that if you don't have walk speed and you're not a cactus, it's going to be very hard to even touch other people

    Nether pvp is different, I was talking about PvE, but still, it's meant for you to use it, retreat, and use another spell, it's not a real escape spell, it's meant to confuse really

    In PvE there is no thinking involved in using vanish. You just use it and run away for a few blocks to get away from mobs, it has no advantage in fighting them. Using it in combat means you waste mana when you can simply just walk up to a mob and use spin/multi/smoke, and using it for mobility is useless as your mana drains so fast. And using it to confuse mobs is also useless because of my point about combat. It's only really useful if you're on low hp, and you're surrounded. Compared to the other spells mobility spells, it's easily the worst.

    60% speed bonus is not the same as speed 3
    speed 3 is +60% of your current walk speed
    +60% is +60% of your regular walk speed

    Actually, the walk speed identification adds percent speed like the speed effect; 20% walk speed is the same as speed I, but the FOV change isn't there. It seems like it would be extremely finicky with other identifications and could easily be abused of, though, if it were to give you an identification temporarily.

    I'm tired of looking in this section. Before Gavel, we had good suggestions, now all I see are 'buff assassin' and 'buff vanish'.

    Did you even read the fucking post? It's litteraly: make it the same but not clunky, there is litteraly no buff, I'm just compensating a little for a useless as shit upgrade

    The spell is clunky as fuck, I'm just making it usable, not buffing it, for example:
    When I play archer, I always have FOV lower because I'm always using speed
    But on assassin, I don't always have speed, so using Vanish is annoying as fuck

    Everyone says Vanish is useless and I don't get it at all. You can use it to bump up your spells' power, it gives a phenomenal mobility boost, you're essentially invincible against mobs...the mana drain is what keeps it balanced, and it isn't nearly as ridiculous as people want to say it is.

    Well my problem with the damage increase, is that idk if it applies since you leave vanish immediately on a left click, so trying to buff spin or multi-hit doesn't work as far as I could tell

    Vanish ends if you attack. If you're left-clicking for a spell it doesn't count as an attack.

    It does, you can vanish and go to spot to heal up with potions. Adding buffs for the fact I said would be more reasonable than what Vanish's current buffs are.
