World Quick Travel: Corkus City And Detlas [>40 Supporters<]

So, there's a huge debate going on with trade towns and what not (if your curious i'm pro-corkus, but totally get the appeal for Detlas, i fancy something new and what was given is great) and i have an idea to solve it. Let me know if this is more worthy of a Feedback thread rather than a General suggestion

So how do we make this issue everyone has go away? Simple, having a free quick travel thing for corkus city to detlas and vise versa.

Pros:

• This would enable both sides of the debate to hang out wherever they'd like and go from city to town whenever necessary.
• Would be free, either like the Calo airship requiring a quest completed, or like Corkus City to Krandon-Beta which is free for just showing up.
• Lets higher leveled players have their space away from lower leveled players while still being connected to them without a price

Cons:

• Something to keep lower levels away from the access to Corkus City is required. Solution: A guard would prevent users without a special pass (purchasable in Corkus and cannot be traded; only used to get bank classes to Corkus if anything) from getting on the airship. Those who are taken from Detlas to Corkus via this pass cannot leave the City. The guards wpuld tell the player that it's too dangerous and is best left to level 83 adventurers.
• Other? Leave some down below if you find some more!

 

There's already quick-travel between Selchar and Corkus, and scrolls work fine too. It's not really necessary, though it could potentially improve ease of life.

Corkus is a high-level area, allowing super weak players to get there is not a good idea.

If this were to be a feature, you'd need to restrict quick travel to players who've either been to Corkus already or have done the Envoy pt. 1, and have a reward be another airship going to and from Detlas.

 

There is a small airship in the Corkus Docks area, above the Library area. It mostly just looks like it's in disuse with cobwebs everywhere.

There could be an added bit of dialouge with the delegate apologizing for Maxie being whatever he thought Maxie was and giving you access to an airship like a inverse costumer service employee.

There's an air balloon in letvus airbase they could make that go to kandon aswell

You can already quick travel from Corkus to Selchar and Corkus to Kandon Beda just by doing quests, I don't think Corkus needs to become a crazy quick travel hub.

 

Didn't the Hot air balloon attendant say something about Corkus connecting to other cities? I'd get the Dialogue now, but i'm on the bus to school.

They're supposed to have extremely advanced technology for the age, why shouldn't they be able to fly wherever they want, it's their balloons!

I don't think Detlas is good for travel beacuse we already have Corkus City - Selchar, Corkus City - Kandon-Beda. We also have Cinfras - Detlas so like the airship in Corkus City could send you near Cinfras, like to Eltom or Thanos.

 

I don't personally think we need more quick travel for Corkus, but if we did I think it would make more sense to ha e the ship in Cinfras. Their airbase is enourmous so another ship wouldn't be out of place like in Detlas. Just my thoughts.

Eltom wouldn't work because of the lore. And the CoTL would be a pain to travel through on a realistic level. Plus, it would give more reasons (apart from size compared to Dern) to recognize it a Provence with many trade connections to other provences.

Fair point, however an extra hotair balloon on building level and a few more in the air would promote the trade town Detlas is even more.

So, while i've been playing Borderlands 2 i've lost track on that trade town debate, was there a winner or agreement made upon this whole thing, or did the debate just die out?

So make the cost Cow Passes.
Have a bovemist related quest, and have the balloon owner be some corkian cow fanatic.

 

I was kinda of thinking of a similar thing; passes bought or just unlocked at Corkus City to be used by Calo to choose where to travel to. Those options being Corkus City after unlocking that city's pass and Confras by default.
