What is a Victrola?

What would be the use of a Victrola?

a Victrola would be used to get music for different areas. Victrola's could replace weak and easy to find loot chests, and, if possible, would sparkle with music particles if not collected. certain tracks, like boss fight music, "intro1" and "comingsoon" could just be given to the player.


Music would still be just for VIP+'s, and trying to use a Victrola without having VIP+ or HERO would say "It seems the contraption is only usable by corkians and VIP+'s"

 

So... remove the Jukebox as a perk and make it accessible to everyone, thus removing one of the few perks left.

 

So would even non Vip's be able to listen to music?

So essentially just nerf the jukebox. Also, you should probably point out that it's a VIP+ only feature.

Why not instead of having it be VIP+ and HERO only, but why not have a Victrola Schematic for sale in the store? It would unlock access to it.

I don't think they should replace Low-tier Loot Chests, but should have their own location. Speaking of location, will each track be found where they are played, or does it not matter? Will boss fight music be found in the boss arena, beforehand, or after?

Will the Victrola be represented as a block (like a jukebox) or 3D model? Will the player have to right-click it to obtain it?

I think having music particles would be more fitting. It would also differentiate it from Loot Chests.

Will players start with any music tracks when purchasing the ranks?

I am quite neutral on the suggestion. On one hand, collecting all the tracks give a feeling of accomplishment, while on the other, it devalues VIP+ and HERO by removing most the tracks given, although I bought my rank to donate to the server, not to get cosmetic perks. They're nice, though.

 

think of them like the shovvel knight music sheets, you find them in bunches, and in/around wwhere the music wwould play


and yeah, i do quite like the music particle effect idea


they wwould probably start wwith the tutorial music or other once-in-a-game music
