Quest Unneeded Location Quest Updates

i find a lot of new players easily get confused at why they can't finish a quest, when it's really just a
[Quest Book Updated]
At a certain location.
A prime example of this is the quest Death Whistle. The mountain containing the black whistles(?) (flowers) had a part where you enter the inside and get a quest book updated. In reality, you can just teleport or escape to to top, in turn not getting the quest book update and not being able to hand the flowers to Voer(?)

Basically my feedback is to just remove these irrelevant spots that are required to visit but don't have a meaning.

 

another problem with death whistle is that voer tells you to go to the highest mountain in the swamp...

yep this is a problem another good example is the high level quest in which you have to escape a prison (i forgot the name)

Err, the thing is that they are needed...

Basically at these points your quest book is actually updated, if you check your quest book it's different (or something else changed, like if you couldn't go somewhere before due to some NPC blocking you, you can now for example)

Escaping/Teleporting isn't an intended way to do the quest, so they don't really need to accommodate for it.

So you can't remove trigger spots. Making them a bit larger is a decent idea though.

 

I agree. Especially with the example you gave. If there's another obvious way do do something, we should be able to do it. It would make the quests less linear

 

Some people can't parkour. Instead of abandoning a quest, would be clever considering to use the helping skills...

 

There are far too many quests with loopholes like that to be able to take care of all of them. Plus, I don't even believe there was any parkour in that cave; it was just running past a couple of mobs.

 

There's none, meant in general, I noticed parkour is a big part of the game play, like you have to face it around once per 2-3 quests in average, and I saw people abandoning quests cause of parkour :/ I think it's not the best reason people should rage and leave the quest undone, like, I'm fairly good at parkour, but my ass was set on huge fire when I was completing Purple and Blue xD

 

Perhaps I worded it wrong. You can definitely use spells in parkour like that, but I don't think there's a quest that you can easily miss text triggers in if you skip the parkour. The closest thing is the part of Taproot before you go into the old forest, but in that one you're probably using your spells to make the jumps, not to skip the parkour entirely.

 

Aother flaw with that qest is how he said "the highest mounbtain in the swamp" when I can see a taller one thats like 20 blocks away

 

That's so that there's one time where you can't be lazy
