General Runes/forgery

The synonyms for the first definition are all verbs by the way. Also, saying something is an action means its a verb. ForgING or producING a copy of a document is in the definiton, if the word has -ing, its a verb in a present participle.

 

Technically they are gerunds which act as nouns. The key word is THE act/action. "The" is an article used in front of nouns.

I don't even know why you thought to bring this up in the first place. The original post had nothing to do with verbs. I was pointing out the difference between a forge and forgery, which, in this context, are both nouns.

Even if "forgery" was a verb, it would just make more sense for the name to change. You can't make keys at a verb because a verb cannot be a place.

This argument really detracted from the actual point of the thread, which meant to highlight, what was in my opinion, a naming error.

On another note, I'm offended that you thought that this thread was a joke. This was meant to be helpful, and I was voicing my opinion.

Although "The Forgery" does sound alright at first glance, if you think about it, it means that the corrupted keys must mean they're fakes of the real ones, which isn't the point of 'the forgery'. "The Forgery" is a place to fix some broken keys, not to make contraband keys. So yea, "The Forgery" is incorrect and "The Forge" should be better. Unless, an entirely different name would be better.

I haven't seen ur sources yet because im on a chrome book on leaf browser so I can't open tabs by links without closing the original one ^_^

What if ... the Forgery merchant sold us fake forged keys for our real broken keys... You never know, its possible.
