World Option For Simpler Texture Pack??

I've been playing Wynncraft for a while now, and a while back, during one of the major updates, they added in a really neat official texture pack. (the 3d models look really nice). However, the texture pack resulted in my frames dropping drastically from about 40 down to 15-20, which is making wynncraft a lot less fun for me. It would be really nice if an alternate texture pack, a simpler, less laggy one(possibly 2d?) was added as an option for people with slower computers.

Have you tried using OptiFine, by any chance? It might help your framerate a lot.

 

Yes, I have. All the settings are turned down to generally lowest possible.(im also using 1.8.1 version)

 

Except, sometimes they can't.
My sister used to play on an older mac and it COULDN'T load the texture pack.
A lower grade texture pack would increase the amount of players we get on wynn and possibly donations.

 

Just dont play on a potato and you're fine.

 

I have friends who Ive convinced to play wynncraft but cant even join it due to the fact that when they use the texture pack they crash, there should honestly just be an option to run it without the pack without it spamming to put the pack on

 

not everyone is rich enough for buy a good computer

 

You dont need that good computer to play wynn with atleast 40fps.

 

if people mostly cant afford a rank, how will they afford a computer? they are all(or almost all)higher than 100 bucks

 

im pretty sure there's a way to bypass the spammy message
I think it's like u get the wynnpack downloaded into ur resource pack, then you like modify the server resource pack in ur server resource thingie
so it's empty
and u won't die out or somethin

 

and yet it looks terrible with all those blocks they're right about that.
They need to make a simple generic texture pack for Wynncraft.

 

I think majority can afford a rank but choose not to buy it.


Don't get so defensive about a joke.

 

This might not even be possible. To replace blocks, I'm fairly certain you need to use 3D models, since in-hand blocks are models, not simple textures.

I may be wrong, though.

Like seriously. How do your expect everyone to shell out 400-800 bucks at minimum if they make NO income?

Keep in mind that most people who play are kids

 

Maybe upon joining this could appear? "Would you like to switch to our Simple, less leggy texture pack?"
Then they could only show the sides of the textures!

 

Since its possible to play wynncraft without the texture pack(it sends the warning messages if you dont download the pack, tho). I'd assume its possible to create a 2d texture pack that doesnt break the world or anything.

 

Playing without the pack breaks the weapons.

 

Consider installing optifine then turn off terrain animated textures/Animated (anything)
