World Revamp Wynn Cities

I got the idea from a thread i posted a few days ago

Note: I don't plan this to be implemented SoonTM, maybe LaterTM

So comparing wynn to gavel, the main cities of wynn are a bit delayed in comparison to gavel.
Lore wise wynn got rid of the corruption from fruma's soldier's help and they technicly have more resources.

Real wise this would be cool after all provinces are released

Lets start with ragni
For a starter city it is quite big and easy to get lost in. It has decent houses and terrain but nothing really stands out exept the castle.

Detlas, being the main city of wynn and of everyone, even cinfras is left behind. Imo cinfras leaves a cold medieval feeling I think the ct expected us to ditch detlas which is never gonna happen but I got off course again.

My point is that detlas is quite small and the buildings take alot of place and the only camp spot for players is the scroll merchant's road

Almuj now.
Almuj is quite big but it's very plain with a weird bank structure
Nobody stays at almuj much
It should have a better amazing looking bank or something alike

I don't think they got rid of it so much as they're trying to with both the gavelian and fruma help.

 

The whole reason that gavel opened its gates is because MOST of the corruption got ded

Sure, lets make almuj the biggest and best city; then have to redo the whole map and several quests that wouldn't make anymore sense.

 

Allow me to disagree.

Ragni is, by far, not easy to get lost in, and definitely not an unsuitable size for a starting town. There are mainly three ways that you can go, the most obvious one is the one that leads you onwards on your journey. How hard can it be to not go where you are supposed to, in reality?

Ragni is not meant to be overwhelming for new players. At this, very early, point in the game, you are just trying to figure out the game, and focusing on aesthetics there should not be our goal.

 

So I guess I'm the only one who is bad at naviguating without the map..
I thought someone else tried to go to pirate cove and ended up in maltic...

Seriously tho (that still happened), I was talking about the city appart from the 3 main routes, like the roads between houses if you want to explore

i actually prefer most of the wynn cities rather than gavel ones (specially the level 40-60 ones, olux has a great song and style, but their places are poison for my eyes (too brown) same for gelibord)

 

They're still a bit left behind from the current modern building techniques

I feel like Ragni is a good size as it is.

I agree that Detlas feels a little bit small- I'd kinda like to see some travelling caravans/wagons or stalls outside the walls slightly as if they've travelled there for business but not been allowed to set up inside. It'd give more of an impression of Detlas being important.

Almuj is very unique in it's style but I like it the way it is.

 

Ya, I agree completely, I realize that if they enlarged the whole map for realistic size, it would take years, but deltas is phathetic compared to the others, especially for the hub of wynn, I mean cmon, almuj's main expert is sand (literally, you can find sand shipped from almuj in gavel) and the city is a PALACE in comparison to deltas..

 

What the cities need isn't a general revamp. It's a reason to go there, and a reason to stay.

Detlas is so popular because everything about it is good; it's got every utility you could ever need, it's smack dab in the middle of the province, and just about everybody can access it. Not to mention it stays popular due to it being a large trading hub.

Cities need features that are specific to them.
Almuj could have a black market casino.
Troms could have some sort of armory.
Ragni could have small, rewarding activities like farming (just spit-balling here, no concrete ideas).
Nemract could have bar-based games, like darts.
Thanos could have a mining mini-game.
Ahmsord could have an arena for Heroes to fight in.

Specialties in each city would really help to add to their tourism and popularity. Make them more than just plain old pit stops to sell your items and buy potions.

Make cities great again.

Well the only thing i se that should be a bit different is ragni, adding so that the castle is higher and some watch towers /walls being higher than the outer ones but lower than the castle. This would make Ragni even more fortressish.

About Almuj, during the middle age the farther you got to the east the bigger the cities became. Almuj then is (possibly) meant to be a middle east town making it bigger than european styled ones but smaller than chinese styled cities.

 

Make a separate suggestion for this.

you'd think with all my criticism for suggestions i'd be able to make a good one but there's really not much more to the suggestion i can think of
