World When You Die During The Hive You Spawn In Thanos

Alright I'm sure we've all been here, you're doing the hive and you die (pretty normal) and instead of re-spawning in the city right next to the hive, you spawn in a town on a mountain hundreds of blocks away with 200-foot mountains in your way... Why not just respawn in Thanos?

 

I'm not sure it's possible
the way the system works is you die and respawn at the nearest respawn point
now the hive teleports you north of the map and so the nearest point (I found this by using the friend showing feature) would be eltom
so unless the ct moved ALL of hive which could cause numerous dangerous problems in the COTL area they cannot force it to link to thanos

 

can't say i have any qualms with this. i never understood why when you die in the hive, you find yourself in eltom which isn't even fully accessible (and therefore very difficult to leave without a warp scroll --- mind you, the closest city that supports them is cinfras, which isn't even in the canyon) until you've done a particular quest and is practically halfway across the canyon.

 

I really like this suggestion, but maybe make it more detailed?

True, as Eltom is very glitchy they do need to change it, but they cant really do it to Thanos due to the nearest town spawning thing, Perhaps they could make a path back, or some sort of "outpost" town

It needs to be done, but it's going to be low priority since it isn't a major issue as the game is still playable.

It's technically possible, by moving the hive cubes, but it takes work, and stands the chance of messing up the command blocks.

 

Everyone is talking about command blocks, but are command blocks used in the hive cubes? I don't see why they would be necessary, but maybe I'm missing something.

 

-Spawn mobs
-Spawn the token collector for each floor and level
-Making it able to collect token from players' inventories
-Push back away from the teleporter the players who don't have the tokens required
-Show the texts such as "the mysterious box accept your tokens" or "you need 5 tokens from the ennemies to ascend"
-Teleport the players to the next level/floor

And probably more things I've forgot

I am almost positive that all those are plugins tho

 

Even then you'd have to edit all the plugin data with the new locations.

 

Yeah that's true, the signs might carry over for mob spawning but portals to progress to the next level wouldn't. Seems like moving them might be more time consuming then I thought.
