Opinions On The New Detlas Theme

THE THEME OF DETLAS HAS CHANGED?!?!?!??!!?!?!?

 

I've only been liking the actual feedback.

Ive liked the old theme better than the current one mainly for nostalgia, instead of revamping remember there's plenty of space for music in corkus

I have to say, not a fan at all. Some notes were made higher that definitely didn't need to be; definitely liked the old one more.
If possible, I'd say avoid remaking old pieces, and focus on the new ones.

 

What I like: The extra bass notes & pitch differences making it less repetitive
What I dislike: Bridge felt like it had too many notes crammed into it

I haven't heard it (nor will i for a long time because too lazy), but I'll just assume it's good because most of what you make is. Plus, after 3 and half years, something new would be refreshing.

 

Like: The drums and the bass
Unlike: I like this, but not the high notes.
I'll kinda miss the old theme tho, if this gets switched

I thought the new theme was refreshing haha. Whilst the old theme is pretty nostalgic, the new one sounds exciting and adventurous.

I like it :P

 

Why not both? If its possible, 50/50 chance to get either track when you enter Detlas. I like them both.

 

I wish I had some sort of video or timeframe to reference my opinions, but a little while after the drop, the high pitch notes seem to blatantly replace the old notes, making this part of the theme feel out of tune and misplaced, as if someone accidentally highered the pitch for this one segment. I mean, every other part of the music sounds normal and with lower notes. Other than that, the other high-pitch notes added, along with the much appreciated bass and drums, really refresh the old theme. I feel the currently set themes, for all of Wynncraft, are very iconic and beautiful, especially for the most popular city in the whole game. Therefore, it doesn't make a lot of sense to change the noteblocks of one part of the theme (either make all the notes the same pitch, or just make a different theme centrally).

I would think about it in the sense of the Legend of Zelda theme or something. It's iconic and perfect enough not to be directly tampered, so randomly making one part of the song change volume at a different place than was put in the original can only serve to disrupt the flow and it's iconic-ness. The best way to handle making the theme as such different, is to either replace it as said before, or keep it but add more in the sidelines (as you have done with the bass and drums). So it would be going from the old 8-bit theme to a more updated Legend of Zelda theme.

I personally think that it was a mistake to change a song that veteran players have listened to and have known for years. Especially one that is heard so often, with deltas being the most popular location for trading.

 

Liked the creativity, but sorry I am just not a big fan of the overcrowded notes and the higher pitch.

 

The ending of the detlas song is pretty abrupt and sudden. I thought the server froze for a moment. it just sounds weird when the song ends. Because the ending sounded like there's something after the song and the player anticipates it

 

Ehh... I like the new one as it changes it up a little, but I think the old one fit better for Detlas, as well as nostaliga ofc.

 

also dont make more remakes, unless you want to lose every original version of the master pieces needlr did ;-;

Finally got a chance to take a listen. It's good, but I prefer the older one for the sake of nostalgia.
