Quest Remove The Slime Scooper

Idk if this is a bug or intentional, the slime scooper remains in your inventory after the quest is completed. It's just another quest item that takes up space except it doesn't have any purpose. To fix this, just have the NPC take it at the end of the quest.

 

You can get rid of it yourself.

Problem is, you never know if it will be re-used in the future, and /fixquests is buggy

 

I know how to do that, but this should not be a problem in the first place. At this point, I highly doubt they will make it have another use outside of the quest. It'll be much easier just to remove it once the quest is finished and a quality of life change instead of making an entire quest just to fit the item in it.

 

There is no reason to think this. It's entirely possible that all the quest items may be required for the main storyline, thus giving the quests more importance.

 

normally i'd be all for this...but i think temple of legends is a prime example of why certain quest items shouldn't be removed. :p

 

Possibly, but again most people just throw it out or lose it entirely when /fixquests doesn't work, so it's not like people are keeping it for when the Main Storyline comes (Which I assume will be SoonTM). It's just not that important and just another quest item that's better removed now than waiting for it to be used later.

Again, it comes back around to making content around that one useless quest item instead of removing it now. Why should they put effort into centering the item around a quest when they can simply delete it? Most people complain about the amount of quest items and the lack of inventory space, and aren't willing to wait (for God know's how long) for this one item to have a use when they have already thrown it away via glitches or lost it permanently when /fixquests doesn't work.

 

the only reason you do most of the quests that you're told to do for the temple of legends quest are proof of your accomplishments. who's to say that won't happen again? :p

 

That's the thing: who's to say that it WILL happen again? Yes, those quest items are necessary for Temple of Legends, and they are plenty of other examples (Ex: Aldorei's Secret Part I), but this question is such a big IF that it's not really worth it to incorporate the quest item at this point. Even if they come out with a quest that incorporates this in the future, it'll be so long that people would have forgotten about it or lost it permanently, therefore being unable to do the new quest. So why complicate things more and make it harder on the content team by trying to fit this one SINGLE item in when they can simply just delete it? Also, Gavel took about 2-3 years to complete, and it's still NOT FINISHED yet. I doubt any quest that might incorporate it will be here in the near future, and people aren't going to wait that long in order for the item to be useful.

 

Nobody realizes the underlying purpose of these items... items like these unlock a certain area so you can help lower leveled friends without having to recreate the item...

 

You don't need the item to enter the area

 

Let's put it this way. If you don't think you'll ever need the Slime Scooper again, glitch it out of your inventory. The rest of us will sit here wasting an inventory space.

I'm fairly certain you do... maybe not for this one, but it has happened to me for others... perhaps they changed it?...

 

The only quests these apply to are ToL and maybe the realm of Light. Most people don't have trouble with the difficulty of this quest, and the chance that a player needs a level 100 to help them is so low that's it's insignificant, including the fact they could still do it with a friend while they are both doing the quest. Again, people just throw out the quest item when they are done and forget about it, so it might as well not exist in the first place (Meaning it should be removed AFTER the quest)

I acknowledged this because I know people can glitch it, but the argument doesn't address why the slime scooper should be there in the first place after the quest is over. It's just a simply quality of life change that makes it easier on everyone. For example, they got rid of the breathing helmet quest item, which made it easier not having to carry around, store, or glitch out another quest item. People have complained about this issue for so long and it's just one step closer to getting rid of useless items that no one cares about.

 

from the looks of it, the slime scooper isn't used in any other quest after green gloop.

eluzterp should take the slime scooper from you along with the 8 slimey goo, so the player doesn't need to keep it around when it's outlived its usefulness.

chances are they will pull some bs like what they did with the breathing helmet where you give it to the quest guy to get something better thats not a quest item

 

Final storyline quest:
Go get 1 slime from the cave.
If you lost your scooper, it costs 1883 stacks of le to buy one.

 

The issue is it's been out for so long if you trade it in for another quest half won't have it and might not get it from fixquests. If you have it taken half the players will still have it and not know how to remove it.

 

Still don't understand why you need glass bottles to make a scooper to get slime for you

Though here's a suggestion: the ct should make it so the slime scooper is used in the quest "crop failure" or even "the worm holes" as they both have stuff to do with collecting slime
